Thanks for the link. But thats an options book. I had to do some reaserch to find out what was standard (no options at all) with '71 Demons, because there's not a book that gives that information. But if anyone cares to know what was standard on a '71 Demon I could share that info.

Here are some more photos

If it's original, it's red reflective tape. It looks cracked, so I'm guessing it is. Normally, that part of the deck lid was painted body color on '68s. A couple of special option packages offered the red tape. As small as the '68 taillights are, I think the reflective tape is a good idea.

If you are talking the LCA pivot pin, then you are fine to re-use as long as it isn't bent. The factory one is a nice forged piece.

Check the numbers on the front of the block, just under the cylinder head. You will likely need to scrape the area or hit it with a wire brush. Here is the info from a Mopar book, and then an example of the numbers from a clean block so you know what you are looking for. I agree with Locomotion...
