    Your first mopar...?

Not 100% sure, but it looks like a Clay Smith Cams decal. Wish I still had one! Beautiful car and a great story. That garage looks full of very nice toys!

    Full new wiring harness?

Thanks. I’ll check these options out. I have a ‘65 coupe and convertible to do, and spare harness from my donor car. Everything works on the convertible, but some of the connectors are a little toasty, and its’ harness has been repaired in a couple of places. My coupe is on the rotisserie and...

    Full new wiring harness?

Does anyone make a full harness for a ‘65 A-body? Those two vendors only go back to ‘67 on their website.

Thanks. I’ve already received my frame connectors.

Wax, Glaze, or Ceramic coating ?

Thanks, Rusty for checking on this. The price seems reasonable compared to some of the products I have seen in the past. I was just getting ready to do something with my new Ram truck and travel trailer, so this is very helpful.

Best Hammer/ Dolly Set advice from a Pro Panel Beater

Somewhere along the line I lost most of the body tools I kept from my Snap-On truck, but I still have all of my dollies. They’re getting a good workout on my Dart. I’m not a body man by trade, just by hobby, but I can tell you that cheap body hammers and dollies just don’t work the same, or five...

Smoked glass pictures and/or personal experience with it

$1500 for the back glass only. Plus shipping. ECS can’t get the rear glass for a ‘65 Dart, just the front, at $450 + shipping. I will check out Classic. Thanks. AMD doesn’t show my glass on their site.

BF Goodrich radial T/A white letters

This is the first time I’ve had a problem with this type of tire, and I’ve been buying them a while. How long? Attached pictures are of my ‘71 T-top in my parent’s front yard in Phoenix. Fall of ‘74, I think. Sorry about the poor quality. I didn’t want to take the pictures out of the frame...

BF Goodrich radial T/A white letters

Just went downstairs and took this photo. I’ve worked on these letters quite a bit.

BF Goodrich radial T/A white letters

Have a bottle, didn’t work. Also tried Comet and an aggressive scrub brush. I noticed the brown color when I picked up the car from tire store but just figured they forgot to clean them. The letters were just stained from the factory, I guess.

BF Goodrich radial T/A white letters

I’ve got a set that were brown since new. The car sat for a year and when I went to clean them up realized they weren’t going to. Pretty unhappy, but figured I was stuck. That was 5-6 years ago. They don’t have a thousand miles on them.

Smoked glass pictures and/or personal experience with it

I’d like to know what you find out. I wasn’t aware of ECS as a vendor and checked their web site. The best price I have gotten for a rear windshield from a well-know vendor was $1500. ECS shows $500 for the rear and $450 for the front. Thanks for the information.

66 Dart parts on Facebook group. NOT MINE

There’s been quite a bit of early a-body stuff on FB recently. Prices vary quite a bit, but I’ve seen some deals.

    273 Commando - UTG

I thought the video was inaccurate and biased. But I have to make a comment about the 7.25 rear end reliability. It’s been nearly 58 years since I bought my ‘65 GoGo in September of 1966. I can’t recall the mileage on it, but it was low, probably less than 7,000 miles. I beat the hell out of...

    A Body Frame Connectors

Ordered a set of USCT’s for my coupe yesterday. I’ll post my installation when I’m done. Info here helped me to decide what to buy.

Help me decide on a floor jack

I have one of the 2.5T HF jacks and have had good luck with it. I wish HF would make one with an easily-removable saddle like my old Astro had. There was a standard throat on those that would take accessories like the HF door holder. The Astro finally died after 40+ years and I was counting on...

Classic Auto Air #2 4/5/2024 SUCCESS!!!

We go to our cabin near Flagstaff (Munds Park) in the summer. Thanks for your post. I’m may put A/C in one, or both, of my Darts and I’ve gotten some good ideas and tips from the responses. Very few things are really plug and play and it was good to learn about ways to trouble-shoot various issues.

Classic Auto Air #2 4/5/2024 SUCCESS!!!

If you want to really test it, bring it to Lake Havasu in July! I’ve seen 125 on the dash OAT.

    65 Dart Charger

I wish I had known. I was coming back to Lake Havasu from our cabin in Munds Park Saturday and it would have been an easy detour. We often go to the Costco in Prescott when we are in Munds for the Summer and I go to the VJMC meet in PV from time to time. I’ll keep an eye out for any events in...

    65 Dart Charger

First Dart Charger I’ve seen based in Arizona. Great to hear the same guy has kept and maintained it all these years. Where in Arizona is it? If it’s ever at a meet, or show I’d like to see it in person. We have several shows a year here in Lake Havasu. I hope I didn’t miss it if it was here...

Finally got it on the rotisserie

Thanks, Ulf. The quality of my work is strictly amateur, especially compared to some of the cars I’ve seen FABO, like yours. I’m hoping to end up with a reasonably nice looking car that runs and drives well. Right now, I’m going to go back and do all the finish welding that needs to be done, and...

Finally got it on the rotisserie

Not now, I hope, Ulf. A better question might be, “was there any metal on the body?” As of now, not counting the hood, fenders, doors, and trunk lid (replaced by a previous owner) I have replaced the floor pans, trunk floor pan and drop offs, shock mount, most of the wheel wells, and all...

Finally got it on the rotisserie

You just addressed one of my concerns. The car rolled fine on the adaptors and wheels I welded up until I was ready for the rotisserie. Those wheels came from HF and worked well. I had thought about buying some pneumatic wheels from the same place, but hadn’t thought about leaving the original...

Finally got it on the rotisserie

Finally got my ‘65 Dart GoGo clone on the rotisserie. I purchased the rotisserie seven years ago thinking I’d be using it within a year. The hardest part of mounting it was making that adaptors and trying to mount so it wouldn’t be top or bottom heavy. I was also trying to mount the car so it...

    Advice on Members Restorations postings

That’s what I wanted to do. I just got my car on a rotisserie after seven years of work. Since I had used Photo Garage to post my earlier pics, I wanted to make sure I was putting them in the right place. The “read first” instructions at the top were confusing to me. Later, I noticed that the...

My apologies to everyone. It started as a PM, but I got a message saying that person wasn’t taking messages, or something like that, so I replied to their last post. Advice on Members Restorations postings

Adam, Note: I tried to post this as per the “read this” note, but it wouldn’t work, so I’m trying it here anyway. My apologies if this isn’t correct. As per the instructions at the top of the forum for members restorations I am sending you a PM. I don’t post much on FABO, but do read a lot...
