6.1 intake throttle cable setup help...PLEASE

I am running a typical 92mm LS style throttle body with an LS throttle cable bracket and an adapter plate. The adapter bracket needed some slight shaving to make it all fit - not the prettiest or most "trick" set-up but was extremely affordable

[FOR SALE] BB Solid Mystery Cam

    I believe the "S" numbers refer to ISKY's master lobe chart... not sure if this is true but given you know nothing else about it - it MAY help someone have an idea "S-480" = 288* advertised / 254* @ .050 .547" @ 1.5 ratio "S-396" = 292* advertised / 259* @ .050 .547" @ 1.5...

Indeed - the manifold is the most difficult piece - I believe Indy makes a low-deck mod-man intake that can mount a 71 series blower

    Tr6060 to 440

I have the BBM to T-56 scattershield in my storage shed - The T-56 / TR-6060 should have the same bolt pattern to physically bolt up the the same bellhousing... the issue is that various T-56 and TR-6060s have different input shaft lengths... I couldn't find any specs on the Dodge TR input...

Trick flow heads: different installed valve height

You can always get the bare heads without springs/retainers/locks and have a competent machine shop finish them off and install the appropriate springs for your cam. I ended up doing this with my TF heads - my machinist was really impressed with the castings and overall quality - he just...

5.7 vs 6.4 SRT build and swap

My opinion is if you're going to swap pistons and probably rods then you're not far behind a drop in stroker kit --- could get a forged rotating assembly and drop it into a 5.7L block and have a 6.4L... You also know the exact components within the engine. Gen III heads are out there and...

    finish bulkhead hole ideas?

That one I pictured was actually for my forward light harness that went under the fender... used 16ga wires where as the EFI controller uses mostly 20-22ga so I went with a larger capacity pin. I went with MS3470L18-32 for the bulkhead and the MS3476L18-32 for the connectors... I am...

    finish bulkhead hole ideas?

I'm using some mil-spec bulkheads for my wiring harnesses - mounting them directly on the firewall just above the transmission tunnel so they stay pretty well hidden

    7875 + 5.9 + E85 + Megasquirt

Thanks for the response - I figure for minor tuning while out and about it would be easier to just leave the Pi in the glove box -- if major tuning needs to be done back at the garage with a laptop -- I appreciate the info

    7875 + 5.9 + E85 + Megasquirt

Curious - I am converting my Gen III over to an MS3X and will be running Dakota Digital gauges - would the Pi allow me to make adjustments in TunerStudio on the fly while driving (Instead of having to use my laptop while driving)?

    Rough idle... only when warm.

I had a similar issue with an engine a customer brought into the shop one day- very different as it was a 440 with aluminum heads, aluminum intake... the engine builder only used a stamped valley pan... what happened was the expansion of the heads/intake were so much that a vacuum leak...

    Roots style on 400

I decided to run a balancer on my 440.... just figured why not --- if I were you I would indeed run a balancer since it is an externally balanced cast crank... I know people say the imbalance is taken by the blower belt and all that but I just simply ask - why NOT run a balancer?

Cam options for a 380hp 360 crate motor

The term "better cam" is very subjective... depends what you are looking for that make it "better"... I had the 300hp crate engine years ago and the 380hp version had a much better camshaft profile - you can swap in any roller cam for an LA so your options are pretty limitless these days

    Aluminum cylinder heads

There are deals out there.... I have a pair of TF240s that didn't break the bank - I found a source for factory blems and then bought valves, springs, retainers, etc -- dropped them off at my machinish - Ended up costing ~$1,400 for everything -- not cheap but definitely not as much as the...

    68 Dart GTE Project

Nice build - the 2JZ is a great engine - don't mind the nay-sayers.... they have their opinions - show me a small block mopar that you can swap a turbo on and make 800hp on a stock bottom end. Overall, love the project

    Camshaft selection with Turbo

From my understanding - you want less overlap and as much lift as you can get... overlap obviously bleeds off boost pressure so a lot of overlap is not ideal... high lift allows more air to be taken in... The stock cam is good but really low lift... would be better off with a...

    CRANK WOBBLE!! Updated, found problem

I would buy a dial indicator (if you dont have one) and remove everything down to the crank snout... then turn the crank by hand and track if the snout is bent - this would show something wrong with the crank... if it shows true then it's obviously somewhere else... put the balancer...

6.4 Hemi swap Firewall modifications - photos

Its a B-body but basically it is up to you what you want to modify - you can utilize all the factory firewall connections then just add a grommet for the Hemi harness -- or you can do what I did - smooth the A/C section, ran the A/C lines under the fender and a wiring harness to the headlights...

    EFI options

I would recommend running a port injection systems over a TB set up - Tuning and sensor inputs would be a little more work but it would allow for more tuning capabilities compared to a self learning TB system. I am working with an MS3X for my 6.1 and it is proving to be quite fun to wire up...
