Why do I ask myself why?

You are not “off” at all. As we get older, it is the day that we don’t learn or accomplish something, no matter how small, that makes it a lost day. Yote

    Interior plastics

Your luck with the paint pens must have been much better than mine. After trying 3-4 of them is when I gave up and used the sharpie. I could not keep the paint pens flowing. Possibly a different brand would have helped. I did however give the entire dash pieces a coating of rattle can...

    Interior plastics

I removed the pieces on my ‘72 Demon, cleaned and repainted. I used a silver permanent marker for the chrome. Not a true ‘chrome but doesn’t look too bad. I believe that there are shops that can restore them but may be quite a few $$. Yote

    Interior plastics

Are your plastic parts beyond repair/ restoration or do you need perfect?? A lot can be done to refurbish old parts if not destroyed beyond that. I have not seen any new reproductions. Members on this forum may have some stuff from cars being parted out. Yote

    Disconnect battery when parked?

Years ago my ‘71 Mopar’s horn started blaring in the middle of the night. Did not quit until disconnected. Reason unknown. I don’t know what might have happened if I hadn’t been close by. ( hot or melted wire/fire). I would suggest to disconnect the battery when not in use. Yote

    Building a boat

Made this one a few years ago. 4 ft. length . Took about a month and half at 6-8 hours a day. Powered by 3- 18000 rpm no load electric motors. Picture in water is running on only 2 of the motors.

    Making another one.

If it were only 1/4” thick possibly. This is 3/8” thick. I believe it would take quite a force to bend it. Yote

    Making another one.

Still slowly gaining. Stained wood grip and made a cap for shift pattern insert to fit on top of handle. A slight goof up on top of cap. Hopefully it won’t show too bad. I could make it again but it took me quite a while to do it already. Will keep you posted on progress. Yote

    Making another one.

Made one a couple years ago but decided to make another in a slightly different style. I started with a couple wooden templates to check the fit and clearances. After that I cut it from 3/8” plate steel, made bends and polished. I will try to post more as I proceed. Yote

Couldn’t find fiber optic sights to fit on a picatinny rail so I made my own. I formed a piece of wood to fit the rail, milled some aluminum for front and rear sights. Then installed fiber optic tubes. This is on a KSG. YOTE
