How do I remove pins from ignition switch connector?

I'm sorting out some wiring issues and cleaning things up. I disconnected the ignition switch connector that runs to the steering column and saw it's seen some overheating: I want to clean both ends of the connectors to ensure a good connection there but couldn't figure out how to get the...

    Unhacking my Duster's wiring

My '71 Duster has had a long history of bodging things together. When working on rewiring my electric fuel pump, I found a lack of key-on power and traced it all the way to the fuse block not getting power, no other changes made. I'm working my way forward and found a rabbit hole to fall in...

    Rear cross bracing repair

After pulling most of the interior to do some electrical troubleshooting, I found the rear crossbracing to be broken on one side. Also, is this welded in chunk of metal stock? At some point in the car's ownership someone converted it to a 4 speed 340 from a 318 auto. I assume this plate is...

'71 Duster wire ID - horn?

Working on the front end wiring on my '71 Duster. Is this wire for the horns? Couldn't find a matching color code in my service manual, but looks like a horn wire to me. Had another pigtail hanging off it, bare end wrapped in duct tape. That old wire snapped off.

Retrofitting later model filler neck ('71 to '73+?)

I've run into the hard to find early '71 with ECS gas cap problem. Some posts on this forum say you can retrofit a later model filler neck and I'd like a sanity check to make sure I'll get the right one. Classic Industries | Restoration Parts | Mopar Parts | Camaro Parts | Firebird Parts |...

Replacing '71 vapor canister to gas tank lines

I'm trying to replace the four hoses going from the gas tank's four vent lines to the evap/vapor canister in the trunk. There's a piece of metal on the chassis, probably to protect the lines from road debris, but I can't figure out how to get that out of the way. Don't see any bolts sticking...

    Motoblag's '71 Duster

As my welcome wagon thread says, I'm back at it after a big hiatus. I rebuilt the carb, a 750 Holley: Pulled a valve cover to take a peek: Squirted MMO into the cylinders, fresh spark plugs, temporary lawn mower fuel tank and she ran! She's a bit rusty: Lots of evidence of...

Returning to my Duster after almost 15 years

I'm finally in a place in life where I can give my '71 Duster the attention it deserves! It's a '71 Duster, originally a 318/904, now a 340/4 speed. A bit rough from sitting too close to salt water for almost 15 years, but I've got a welder, cutting discs and an abundance of optimism...
