    sand blasting

And the media will forever come out of the hidden places forever. I have a Road Runner that was sand blasted at some time, I have tried to blow it out of the rocker panels, but way too much of it is still in there, it's sort of set up. Good thing the car never gets wet.

    Clutch Pedal Return

If your clutch operates without any issues, your good. Your pedal doesn't need to come up level with the brake pedal, 2 of mine don't. If you ever have a problem with your pedal sticking to the floor, then remove the overcenter spring. Few cars are ever the same when it comes clutches...

Solution to my leaking water pump weep hole?

Yeah, if it's not the weep hole, put a couple of teaspoons of ginger in the antifreeze from your wife's kitchen. It will stop it. Have had it in my '69 Dart all year because I put the wrong antifreeze in it. Have done this in the past and present with old beaters. It works.

New Red 340 air cleaner pie tins avalible @ summit racing.

I have to disagree with a '69 being orange, here is a picture of my '69 Dart from back then, it's red, and I remember it being red. Having said that, I have argued with people that say the '69 340 was red or blue, not Turquoise. Maybe a red left over from '68, but blue?

Solution to my leaking water pump weep hole?

Two things come to mind, does Flowkooler make a /6 pump? I probably wouldn't put another warranty replacement pump back on. What kind of antifreeze did you use? I haven't had any luck in our old cars with anything other than good old green . The new stuff always leaks out of somewhere for...

    Getting fed up...

Here's something to think about, the Chinisium parts, the Chinese get paid the same to make a good part or a bad part. They don't care. Only time it gets changed is when the American counter part or contractor gets tired of the part being wrong and forces a change. The Chinese do not get paid...

Okay, I tried to take socket apart, no go. Spring, looking in from the bottom, not touching any wire. Straightened the wire ends a little, but they didn't look like they needed it. Anyway, now it is working like it is supposed to, for the time being, but I am not messing with it any...

Will see if I can get a # 1004 bulb. I thought that the # 1176 bulbs glass was larger. The # 1176 was the only single filament bulb that had the lower locking pins. I can order a # 1004, but will.see if one of the stores can get it. Will see if that socket will come apart and see what's...

    Trunk light

Dana, if you look at the insulator I made, it now works as intended. Nylon washer with a shoulder protrudes through the hole in the mounting bracket from one side, and another washer from the other side goes over the shoulder. Screw hole's through to mount to the bottom of the Dutchman panel...

    Trunk light

Okay guys, how about this. Jawbone and I were just talking, he's a retired electrician. The electrical gods are saying that it is grounding somewhere, we argued back and forth. All of a sudden it hit me, could the spring be touching a wire and the socket casing. Jawbone says, I think...

Okay, pulled the two wires ttorhrough the plastic disc, both wires are sound. Yes, I agree with all of you. But like Rooster says in Top Gun Maverick, ' It's not working! ' I am not good at trouble shooting, so I will just reinstall the isolator, I'm okay with that.

    Trunk light

It's a '69 Road Runner. Must be something going to ground in the socket then. Switch did nothing. Remove the socket/bracket, light out. Touch the bracket back to ground, light on. It works as it's supposed to with my isolated. Will take a look at the pigtail in the socket. I have an...

Yes, but the bulb socket bracket is always grounded, so the light stays on, the bracket bypasses the switch. Here's what I made to isolate the bracket.

Okay electrical brainiacts, how did the factory isolate the bulb socket bracket for the trunk light? Just installed one in my car and the light stayed on with the switch plunger in. I know how to get around it, but want to know how the factory did it.
