[Found!] 122 tooth Slant 6 flywheel

The smaller one fits 1960-67 cranks which have a 1.96" register. The 1968+ size is what I'm looking for, which will fit a 2.16" register.

[Found!] 122 tooth Slant 6 flywheel

I appreciate the suggestions, I haven't checked the classifieds on slantsix.org but I am there regularly. It is funny how many Mopar/Slant folks are in and around Tennessee!

[Found!] 122 tooth Slant 6 flywheel

Hey guys, I'm looking for a 122 tooth flywheel for my 79 cast crank 225. I've searched car-part.com and didn't find anything within remotely close driving distance. Thanks.

[WANTED] 64 Valiant headlight/Wiper switch bezel for manual trans

Hey guys, trying to get the interior in order. I'm looking for a manual trans wiper/headlight trim bezel. For a 1964 Valiant. Let me know if you've got one for sale. Thanks!

    Timing Chain Tolerance

I bought a 225 not long ago with a hole in the timing chain cover because the sloppy chain wore through it.

[Found!] A833OD setup for Slant 6

I'm looking for a Slant 6 A833OD swap out of an A/F body preferably in the Alabama/Tennesee/Georgia area. I'm hoping to find a completish swap, bellhousing, trans, rods, z bar/fork, etc if at all possible. Thanks!

Maybe they had aspirations of drag racing, haha. The guy had a straight axle front end he was trying to get me to take home, too. I really need to adjust the torsion bars back down, I'm not ready to fight the rusty lower control arms yet though.

I appreciate it! I'm tracking that, I just thought I might be missing something on the carburetor end. I'm good to go, over thinking it.

    It's becoming a problem.

While trying to find TDC on the engine I noticed the rotor wasn't spinning. Pulled the distributor and the drive gear is split in half.. could be why it was parked in 1989, but I had another distributor on hand and dropped it in. Installed a radiator from my 66, re-flared the crimped...

Thanks, I realize the choke assembly is available online with the rod but I wasn't sure about the bracket on the choke shaft on my carburetor. I also didn't realize that the assembly is the same on both a BBS and a Holley 1920, and I have a few laying around from some Holley setups.

    It's becoming a problem.

The carburetor is rebuilt. What am I missing on this BBS from the choke assembly? I've seen some photos (as well as graphics in the rebuild kit) of a triangular bracket attached to the shaft with a spring, but that bracket is different than what's on this particular carburetor.

As bad as it looks, the motor isn't stuck fortunately. The block casting # is 63-66, so that's likely original. The head has some remnants of blue paint, so likely replaced at some point. Someone put some work into this thing (brake and rear end upgrade) long ago before it was left to rot under...

    It's becoming a problem.

Maintaining the theme of cheap junk, here's some crusty and hacked wiring to contend with. The cap was unclipped but sitting on top of the distributor, however the rotor has been sitting on the valve cover for many years. Living in a small rural town for the last 2 years has been great, but...

    Regarding the overtightened carb bolts?

I also gave the car a wash (well, pressure wash). Brightened up the crappy paint job, didn't it! As Rusty previously pointed out it's got a 5x4.5 pattern rear axle, and I have an old set of rollers so I swapped them out. She's gotten a few twists on the torsion bars in the past, eh? Lol

    It's becoming a problem.

In the 4 years since I've been tinkering with A Bodies, I've now had 3 Slant cars - the previous two both had Holley 1920s, this Signet has an abused BBS. Unfortunately mud daubers rebuilt the BBS before I got ahold of it (vent and fuel inlet packed full). I've rebuilt numerous carburetors over...

That's absolutely awesome. I love Road Toads - Before I bought this 64, it was a toss up between it and a 60 with a 3 speed. I backed out of the 60 because of parts scarcity. I think the wagon is better looking than the coupe or sedan!

    It's becoming a problem.

2nd digit of the Vin is 4 so ifs a genuine Signet (rather than just swapped emblems). The fender mounted turn signal indicators have to be added - I don't see any indication that they were an option for this year. It's got a split bench with center armrest in it as well which I believe must...

Thanks! I have never really been into the restored patina look, but you're right, it could be interesting on this one.

No project creep on this one, I'm sticking to my guns! The 225 and the rest of the drive train will remain as long as they're not shot.

Good eye, it's a 7.25 but I think you're right on the big bolt pattern.

Just noticed these when I stopped at the gas station... Do they look like later A Body or FMJ? Hopefully it's not some old aftermarket setup.

I've been looking for another Slant car with intentions of just getting it back on the road. I like junk. I enjoy projects and I've also always been on a tight budget - a house full of kids are the priority, so someone else's completed project is out of the question. In that spirit I just...
