last night i was driving my car and it started revving up on its own and not shifting properly when i go to slow down i press the brake and it still wants to keep going cause the engine is acting like i'm still pressing the gas when i shift into neutral the engine rev's up to about 4000 rpm for...

i got the valve cover off to replace the gasket and i noticed that some of the rockers are a bit loose are they supposed to have a bit of play or should i tighten them up at this point it a stock 225 slant six if that matters please respond quickly cause i need this done today

ok it's a stock 225 slant six with a holley 1920 1 bbl i just rebuilt it now when i'm driving in the city it's fine but at 65+mph it's running rough and it has bad run on and smokes while it's running on the smoke comes out of the air filter i'm thinking it the timing but why is it worse now...

any advice on rebuilding my holley 1920 before i start (other than getting a better/bigger carb like i'd like to do)

i have a leak somewhere above the dash that leaks water whenever it rains. my windsheild seal looks to be good and i can't see any place it would leak through. i took it to a shop and they said they would pull the windsheild and see if theres any rust if so i would have to re build around there...

I just thought i'd check and see how much gas is going for in different places here in Vancouver BC Canada it currently going between 69.9 cents per liter and 95 cents per liter wich calculates into 2.23 a gallon and 3.03 a gallon us dollars :cry:

when my engine is warm i'll stop at a store for something shut my engine of for 10-15 minutes. when i get back in the car i go to start it and i have to crank it over for 30+ seconds before it will fire does anyone know why this happens and what i can do to fix it? i drive a 73 scamp with a 225...
