    69 Valiant Grille

I can see your problem with that large opening which I don't have on mine. (Yours looks too nice to weld anything closed) ....Perhaps you could get a piece of metal and drill a center screw hole, then slide it in behind, over-lapping the inside outer edges as a backing plate. Use a screw and...

    Door lock?

If I'm correct 67-69 door locks interchange fine. The only differance I found were the handles mach changed in 1970. I replaced all including trunk but left the ignition alone. Perhaps someone can back me up on this!

    Can't open the doors!

Just a thought....whats the chance of your roadrunner gaining or having a slight body sag from sitting over time. Perhaps a slight sag would be just enough to produce enough pressure to pinch the door mech tightly into place. I've heard of many drag cars that couldn't re-open their doors after a...

    Manifold Dress Up.

You could also powder coat it along with the valve cover to match and pick up a few aftermarket chrome bolt-ons.

    Painted bumpers?

Not sure by your pic but that looks like a pretty big missing chrome patch? I don't think "really" your going to be able to get a match by leaving your rear one alone like you wish. I suggest you of course leave your rear alone and just re-paint your front to clean it up. With that chunk of...

    door alignment

HINT! Door shims help alot if it's out a tad and you need that extra fine adjustment. They come in different thinkness, and their cut like a "U" to slip in behind the lower bolts.

    340 scoop on my duster

My son and I put one on his duster. It's not that hard to do....just alot of hard work! We got the hood and scoop then ensured it was centred with the carb and air filter. Once the scoops in place we made a line all around it and put it a side. From the outer edge line we came in about 2" and...

    Spray bombs??

The motor will be pulled very soon and the engine compartment stripped. I will not be repainting whole car (this time a round). Where and how to take off front and rear bumpers off my 1968 Dart??

Hi Chad, for the front, look into both your wheel well area and you should see the front supports for the bumpers. The supports divide and have one bolt each. On the rear, you will have to look under the bumper itself where there's a reinforcement bumper that bolts onto the energy absorbing unit...

Spare Tire Well Rust - Trunk Pan

Another "short cut" tip....if money is a problem. After the rubber plugs have been removed and the tire well grinded, you put a plastic sheet under the trunk area. Get a large sheet of fiberglass and soak in rasin, place evenly in the bottom of the well. When firm, razer blade out the drain plug...

    Leak into trunk

For a quick fix..I once used clear "window seal" silicone, that has a very fine tip to get under the seal itself. (It worked) I think the area has to be dry for a good contact. Use a hair dryer in the area if small.

How to remove Windshield Chrome Molding?

My son "use to" work at a Auto window repair....The boys have lots of these tools on hand (or should). Perhaps if your lucky, drop by a auto glass shop and buy the boys a coffee for the use of one.

    Removing door glass

Cerwin :blah5: :blah5: :butthead: Adam, it's not that difficult.. of course with the panel off, roll up/down the window until you see the forward and after "white plastic" window plug screws through the openings. Once these plastics are screwed off, the window will fall freely. Just...

    Windshield removal? '66 Valiant

Being a old as they are if the gasket is still orginal they become hard, cracked and brittle. Sometimes getting them out can be a challenge. It will take 2 guys working at it slowly not to crack your window. Some, not sure of the year also may have a window rope within the gasket. (not sure of...
