I was getting decent MPG on the highway with my / when in had a 1bbl. But since I super Sixed it. On the highway over 65MPH, it drinks it very fast. As the speedodmeter goes up, the gas gauge goes down. It has an electronic ignition and all new tune up parts. The carb has been adjusted an timed.

I want to rebuild the carb that came with my super six upgrade, but can't find any numbers on it. Of that translates to parts guys that can;'t help me with a rebuild kit. I want to have in hand today and not order online. I think I have narrowed it down. It is this carb in this link...

Great advice thanks. You are right. I snapped 1 off on the front end of the engine. The back one was already gone. so have have to drill 2 out. I will replace all studs.

Well I finally took the manifold off. As I was looking in the head, I noticed that 4 valve stem had carbon deposits on them. I am debating wether to take the head off or not and leave it alone. It ran good. What to do.

Does anyone know where I can get the 3 long bolts that attach the intake and exhaust manifold together? Of course they are old and they snapped while trying to remove them.

No problem, That picture was the day after I bought her, in August 08. She had a redo in 06. They replaced the fenders and both rear quarters and put a thin paint job on her. The paint in chipping here and there. It will need a new paint job this year or maybe next with a clear coat on top of that.

Just called my local Napa and they have it in stock. Can't wait to break it down and paint the engine. Actually I am lazy as can be, so it will be quite an effort because its cold out there. The heater I have really sucks. But thanks again. I hope all of FABO land enjoys this wonderful time...

Merry Christmas all, I had just purchased a super six setup for my 66 valiant. Not sure what year the super six setup came off of. I am having a difficult time finding gaskets, intake and exhaust. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Thanks for the tip. My 6 is also having some blowback. Is the valve stem seal replacement a big job?
