Those things are nasty, I had one in my 70 duster and hated it. I could shift better with the regular comp plus unit. I had to trim the opening too. They are heavy and bulky to shift and fingers get pinched on the little tee handle, the reverse lever was too short.............. Sorry I know...

The magnum truck flywheel is quite larger than the LA car one. What bellhousing are you using? I have one somewhere in my parts stash. I will take a picture of it when I find it. I need it for another project so I won't sell it, but at least you can identify one.

I have a set-up out of a 3spd 72 slant six demon. It still has the fabric wrapped around the rod ends from the factory. Car had the HD 3spd, (the sychros are the same as the A833) so I think it might be the same one.

I have 3:92's (8.25") and the o/d. It is good on the highway, but as I mentioned the gear split is not good. But as far as a budget goes it is a good deal. If I could afford it I would definitely have a 5 or 6 speed.

I have a OD trans in my duster, the gear ratios are not that desirable. The first gear is a 3.09 which is low and good for starting out, but 2nd is a big drop in rpm and same with third. I am likely going to put mt regular 4spd back in.

What are you doing with them?

jjr426 - My 74 duster has the "shocks" on the back bumper only (and one I stripped a few years back). The front is still the standard two bolt deal. I think the front went to the shocks in '75.

You will need the bumper and brackets, the bumper filler panel, the hood latch mechanism and bracket, the metal filler panel from the grill to the rad support, and tabs welded to the fenders to bolt the filler panel in. Oh yeah depending on which grille (sharkstooth or regular) the turn signal...

I just went to my local dodge dealer and ordered up part number 2863445. I am holding it right now and it has a sticker on it that has the date 11-03-99. I am guessing, but it looks like it was made in 1999. I bought two of them a few years ago and sold one on ebay for more than I paid for it!

a friend of mine has an 8.25 in Regina. Although it is a non sure grip and 3:21 or 2:?? gears.
