Hey, the beak cars need love, too!

Price looks good relative to having an existing radio "modernized". The no access feature is cool, too if it works well. You could put it pretty much any place you needed to where it would fit.

I had a small order with them last year. Terrible communication and pretty slow to ship but I did get the right part after asking them what was up a couple of times.

I would suggest building what you want. Fully restored, I think the car is probably worth about $15k. The "beak" cars just get no love in the market so worrying about value just isn't worth it.

I don't want to trash somebody's "vision" but I would have been more impressed if the back had been done in metal, showing some craftsmanship, rather than vinyl and snaps.

Be aware that you will need to change either the water pump or the radiator as the water pump inlet is on opposite sides between the older and newer years. Foster

Back in the "old days" it was mechanical all the way as they were much more accurate. However, given advances in the electrical gauges and the potential issues if something in a mechanical gauge breaks, I'm doing electric now.

The route you are planning can be a killer. Roads are narrow and winding and there's a lot of "dead" space with no appreciable habitation (I've gone that way several times). A break down will be no fun at all. I have to second what Johnny Dart said and suggest you work the bugs out first. If...
