do a denso swap, bolt on and electronic voltage regulator for dual field will control it they usually run around 70-90 amp output, some as high as 120, make sure you have a really good wire coming from the alternator to battery, 6 gauge should do it rated at 75 amps, 2 gauge is rated at 95 amps

the small 1988-1991 denso used on TBI is 90+ amps and they make brackets to fit it, the alternator runs fuel injection and electric fuel pump plus whatever else options those trucks had

V belts can be off a little and not fly off, but that doesn't mean it won't wear belts quickly. the is brackets for the denso swap

I think one tip of advice is to put the boot on the wire first, then crimp your end on and pull the boot back over it, easier to pull the boot then try and push it

the mini starters were used on dodge dakota's from 1987-2002 as well as dodge ram 1989-2002 ram vans (full size) the v6 and v8 starters are the same, some starters require you to remove the special plastic wire locator, and just run the terminals under it

this is correct, unless there is an insane amount of air mixing with the gas fire will not happen I've seen in some intank fuel pump applications where the pump went bad the plug was melted to nearly nothing and touching a steel tank with power in the wires!

one issue I could see being major is that air cleaner, it can only draw air from the space between the hood and air cleaner, besides you don't wanna see what happens if a car backfires through the carburator with one of those on!

you'll have to find the working voltage first Ian, most LED's won't work off of 12v it will burn them out you may have to wire in series or put a resistor in, have too check it out

relays are not a bad thing, and avioding using them won't harm anything, but its much easier on switches and stufff if you do use them; headlights tend to be brighter, and less heavy gauge wire has to be used, since the heavy load is from the relay to the headlights or whatever your running

about the only thing its good for is controlling an electric fan, it has adjustable cut in and out temperatures

DO NOT CHANGE THE STARTER IF YOUR USING MINI STARTER!! starter contacts in the solenoid have gone bad, they are servicable and you do not need to change the solenoid or starter, simple $10 repair, the denso mini starters use the solenoid to both engage the drive as well as turn the starter...

old single field were 45, 70's dual field were 65 and you can get many denso's now over 100

if your not planing on running the chrysler ECU like I use why not change to GM throttle body? most computers will not drive the idle stepper motor

the resistor won't come into effect if there is a straight wire there, remember current takes the path of least resistance, you can get the ballast resistor that has a straight wire through it too so it looks completely normal

how come your firing the MSD box through the mopar one?

that looks much better with the transistor reattached, you'd be hard pressed to know whats in side without seeing it opened

replacing the bulbs is simple, step one is put your seat back in step 2 is to remove the gauges from the dash itself, you'll likely find the copper on the board is broke in one spot and can be fixed with solder removing the gauges can be done by sitting in the seat with no awkward sitting...

not so rare at all, considering the newest lean burn computers are 24 years old and alot of people over on dippy.org are still running them. Its more comman for the carburators solenoids to giveway then the computer pretty good getting 24 years out of a piece of electronics thats mounted...
