    Zoom Clutch What The ????

That is part of Centerforce's trick for holding pow. But they are a diaphragm type, and have a wire "ring" holding little weights on top of the fingers.

You talking about one of these? Yes, they're available in an OE type or an billet configuration

want to convert od. PLEASE HELP!!!

IF it can be done, I would suggest calling Passion Performance and talking to them. Because of the fixed gears on the counter cluster, I don't know that you can change the ratios

    What Clutch?

You want a "firm" pedal stick with a Borg & Beck 3 finger style. This will require the overcenter spring to remain hooked up and will require effort. Otherwise go to a Centerforce and remove the spring. There are weights on the fingers which apply more clamping force as RPM increases. I used one...

    a 833 od shifting issues

That is correct. Then you adjust each rod to slip in to it's appropriate lever. After that, if you feel the need to "smooth up" the 2-3 gate, you can go back and make adjustments one turn at a time. But remember, you go to far and you create problems

Roller Pilot Bearing - anyone used one of these?

If that's the one I think it is, yes. It pounds in to the centering ring on the back of the crank and allows for the elimination of the oilite bushing. Works well. Comes in handy if someone lopped off the end of the input shaft

    a 833 od shifting issues

There is a hole in the levers and a notch in the bottom of the shifter body that are used to align everything. Slip a rod in there and line up the levers and adjust the rods to reach from there. Then see if you have an issue

good price for a 4 speed?

What is weaker about them is the case...sort of. When behind "good" motors and banging gears, it's possible to hammer the counter cluster shaft out of the case. What Passion and others do is install a bushing in the case, so the shaft sits in the bushing rather than the aluminum case.

    5 speed Dakota tranny?

:toothy10: Pretty good for the most part....'cept for needing to part with my runner. That sucks. Other than that, just tryin to cool my jets down here in this 1/2 horse town. I missed the picnic. It's really easy to loose track down here at the edge of the known Universe. :sleepy2: Life...

Yep. I'm a member and past Prez, Vice Prez, and Activities dude. And south of Ft.Worth is a nicer way of saying I live at the edge of the known Universe....also known as Alvarado. It's the intersection of I35W and Hwy 67.

    OK, Just shoot me...

Mopar has a really cool roller bearing piece to use in place of the oilite (sp) bushing. It fits in to the centering ring in the back of the crank. I forget the number (yeah...big help) but it has lots of "5s" in it lol

    tech question shift forks

The one on the left is your 3/4 piece. The other is for your 1/2 but should go in with the "stud" at the bottom. Know what I mean?

    Anybody have a......

EXCELLENT!! That's exactly what I needed to see. It seems I've made the decision to put a stick in the Sedan instead of the original column auto. So I've begun gathering parts for that, but had no idea what the correct shifter looked like. Thanks Keith!!

    5 speed Dakota tranny?

Can't tell without a "side by side", but it really doesn't look that much bigger than an A-833 except for the large flange right in the middle. Next scary question, what's a rig like that worth?

Man you've got that right. "Houston, where temperature and humidity battle it out for top billing every day of the week!" I'm just south of Ft.Worth, a long way from Houston. I guess there's no rus on the pics. I'm leaving for a lil fishin trip tomorrow, and I don't know that there is internet...

    trans fluid survey

I used to run straight 90w in my 4 speeds. For the Sedan (assuming I put a stick in it) I'll probably go all synthetic. And for the record, Chrysler used to recommend ATF in a 4 speed in "cold weather climates". DON'T do that where it's not gonna get below freezing. DAMHIK

    A833 original color

They were natural. However, at least on the aluminum cased OD units they has the last 3 digits of the part number on top of the case....in PINK. The bell housing was probably painted body color (you didn't ask, but I thought I'd toss that out anyway)

    4 speed pedal assemblies ????

From pics of the assemblies on Brewer's site it would take some cutting and welding instead of grinding

    4 speed pedal assemblies ????

Thanks. So there are no problems with the "dash end" being much wider on the later model bracket?
