Number one thing to check is the frame. They rust out and crack. Also a R/T will have a Z in the vin.

Do it yourself and buy a 390 kit. I would never do another crate motor. Mine lasted about 50 miles

318 you already know it is a good motor.Just a intake,carb and dual exhaust will help it out alot.Then you add cam and springs and it will run better yet
