    Good Cam for 69 340

I think I am going with the lunati voodoo 474/495. Seems like a good fit. But I still want to hear more ideas especially with the Hughes cams. Can I use stock push rods and rockers etc?

    Good Cam for 69 340

This has probably been asked a million times but with all new options for cams, I will ask again. So I will be putting my matching 340 back in my GTS. It is 40 over and all stock. 202 X heads etc. I want to put a new more potent cam in it with the stock rocker set up. I will be adding a 750 carb...

Anyone tried Speed Pro roller rockers?

Yeah I have the beehive springs on my RHS heads so I am not worried about clearance.

Anyone tried Speed Pro roller rockers?

Do you need to run a hardened shaft with these or can you run the factory shafts?

    6 pack, or 4bbl?

I had the Demon carb and the RPM intake but I sold them and bought a 6 pack set up. The reason was because I have always wanted a 6 pack. I know I will lose HP but who cares on a street car. The coolness is worth it to me.

Why am I drawn to the aluminum??

I have the RHS heads from Brian. Can't wait to run them on my stroker.

    340 Main Caps

My 340 block I picked up the Main Caps are missing except the rear oil pan one. What are the best aftermarket ones for the price? 4 bolt or 2 if I can find them. Can I use stock 318 main caps?

    318 with 360-587 1.88 heads

I will check out the Hughes cam. I may still be able to keep my 402. Crossing my fingers. I appreciate everyones input. I think even if I build this 318 I think it can be a fun little engine. I have had a few and they are indestructible little screamers.

    318 with 360-587 1.88 heads

Got it. I think that is the way to go for now. Like I said this is just a temp motor. I have had a bunch of 318's that were fun motors with just intake, carb and dual exhuast. If I was down by 1wild&crazyguy I would go that route but up here it is more expensive if I was down by the master west...

    318 with 360-587 1.88 heads

Talked to 2 machine shops and one wouldn't do it. Both said get pistons. The other said he would do it at a price of like $180-220 for the heads and the intake would be extra. But he said he doesn't recommend taking that much off the heads. I don't have alot of machine shops around here...
