    Same thing happened to me back in 1978 when the car parts were still fairly new (only about 6 years old). Hit a bump left by the sand sealing truck and ripped the ball joint out of the A-Frame.

    Thanks for the replys - I think the bolt is complete and out but I will check that to make sure. The pin could be rusted in a bit, because when I opened the cover it was full of ice, so it may need some persauding.

    Hi Guys and Gals - 1st time I am tearing down a 8 1/4 rear end and I cant figure out how to pull the centre pin out shown in the picture. I pulled the bolt out that was on the side but can't figure out how the pin comes out. Is it just pushed in or is it threaded in? Thanks Dwayne

    After rebuilding the front end of my 72 Dart and installing Disk brakes, I took my car to the tire shop to get a wheel alignment and they told me there was no pre-load on the torsion bars!!!!!!!!!!!! I not sure what they are talking about and that is why I am asking the question here. Dwayne

    K-Frame to Rail Bolts (x4)

    I just installed a k-frame on my 72 Swinger, the original manual has the torque for the bolts and I believe it was 150 Ft/lbs as mentioned before is correct. I also have a couple sets of bolts if you need.
