well Ted over on .org has the most consistent mpg'ing car ive ever seen. he gained mpg (=efficiency) when going from a full 2.25 exh to a 2.25/2.5" one, and he also lost like 3 mpg from the magnaflow lol. all i know is it works, i know the exh "cools" as it moves down the line but its still HOT

yep good increase in hp and mpg, sounds better but dosn't drone. If you want it to sound stronger you need to get into the motor and turn up the wick.

If you plan on getting into the motor wait on the exhaust, if not just run a single 2.25" from the manifold to a Super 50 flowmaster, then 2.5" from the muffler to the bumper

problem with any perforated tube style muffler is the boundary layer. in a perforated tube its farther from the edges than a smooth tube, that what causes the restriction. Yea i was stuck on the smaller 1 5/8" primary as the exhaust valves are much closer to that then 1.750

those ebay shorties are the ones im looking at, they have the small 1.5" primary and 2.25 outlets. The summit shorties are 1 3/4 to 2.5.

Magnaflow's sounds like ricer POS's... we had a set on one of our S/S Hemi Dart street cars and it sounded like a POS chevy... Never buy them again... I would look into the Dynomax VT's.
