    318 Build

Could have sworn I saw 66 when I was working on it. Guy told me he pulled it out of a 67 Belvedere.

And after nearly a year the machine shop got to my 71 400.......

    318 Build

I was not planning on swapping pistons as my solution. Trying to keep it as budget as I can. The pistons in it are balanced to the assembly and look practically new. Since it came with 360 heads I am going to assume that was taken into consideration when it was originally put together. All going...

    318 Build

Front of the block was stamped C318 and I pulled 360 heads off it when I brought it home. Definitely not a poly...might be an early cast as you mention

    318 Build

I’ll go back and look at the block....could have sworn I saw 66. But then again, we were cooking a block in the cleaner, there was welding, cutting, and energy drinks involved....lol

    318 Build

I have a 1966 steel crank 318 I picked up because I needed the 360 heads it was wearing. Guy I got it from told me he thought it was “built pretty good.” He pulled it for a bigger motor in his B body. I have torn down my fair share of motors that we’re “running when pulled” and most must have...

    LA 360 or Magnum 5.9

I just got an LA 360 back from the machine shop and will be excited to hear it run. One more to build after that, but I am saving it for a rainy day. I find them from time to time here in my neck of the woods. Never looked for a magnum...

    tunnel ram

Fred...take some pics. They are literally worth a thousand words on here. Don’t worry about what you ask...better to ask it and avoid the headache of running down the wrong line of thinking. IMHO a tunnel Ram is the last thing you need. Cam, windage tray (if none already), Performer RPM intake...

    Block Stamp

Well it will be covered up soon and in the car...

    Block Stamp

I thought this was interesting. I got an earful here awhile ago when I put up a 426 stamped with AAQA....here is a mid 70's 360 with the same thing. I am sure this is a repeat discussion but am I looking at a block with higher nickel content?

    What's It?

There you have it mystery solved.
  14. Dartn440

    What's It?

Beats me. But I will look it up later. Factory holes, I can tell you that much.
  15. Dartn440

    What's It?

I'd ship it, but it might be pricey
  16. Dartn440

    What's It?

    Still for sale...$50

    What's It?

Well thank you very much...sounds like something worth $50-75?

    What's It?

Ok. Bought a guy out in parts to get a few things I needed. Ran the numbers on this intake on the interweb and the lists seem to cut off at 1974. 1978 casting intake....I wanna guess small block 360 4bbl? Any help would be appreciated.

    Boat anchor

I agree. Some of those Egge pistons and some head work. Might be a snappy little sucker

    Boat anchor

I just need to free up some cash and clear some space. Emptied my storage....well, tried, then filled it up with small blocks and transmissions! Maybe I will pop it up for sale as is running first. I know someone has a 66 Barracuda in need of a motor....

    Boat anchor

Thanks guys. The motor is complete form intake to pan with the 2bbl intake on it. The intake above was in the pile of parts as were the 273/318 heads. So Wieand makes an aftermarket intake? I will look into that too.

    Boat anchor

So my buddy has been building Mopars for quite awhile, I am a novice, but I don't agree with everything he tells me. I went after a 360 block today with heads and ended up coming home with the 360, a 904, a SB 727, and a BB 727.... a bunch of manifolds, two TQ converters, a box of...

    New Project

This motor was never apart before these two got after it. Had a windage tray in it from the factory. I have never seen that before.

    New Project

Had my wife and son tear down the 75 440. Motor was clean with little signs of wear. They did a great job taking it down.

    New Project

408 Stroker made it to completion....like it more than the beefy 360 that proceeded it! https://youtu.be/osQUXX5AmRA

    New Project

Still waiting for machine shop to get 408 machine work complete. I would have jar of nickels if I got one every time I was told "next week." At any rate, sold the 360 and my other 440. Picked up 2 72 motors and a 75. Finished tearing down the 72 short block I got here as it was a possible drive...

    New Project

Race motor sold. Stroker motor block prep complete and will assemble in the next week or so when I have time.

    New Project

Ok. Not to be beaten. Stroker motor back to machine shop for repair. Picked up new Heads with big valves to replace the other set. Above motor is still for sale. All the BB motors are gone. Surgery kicking my ***. Can't lift more than 5 pounds. Demon torn down up front. When I can, going at it...
