    64 Studebaker Daytona???

66dartman is correct. The only time Studebaker used another company for engines was in 1965-66. They used a McKinnon engine for the last two years of production in the Hamilton, Ontario plant. This was after they shut down South Bend production.

    Lost/ Missed/ Gone

Yup: Regret the following-- 1973 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus and 1981 Imperial. Had no choice, both were daily drivers that needed too much $$$$$$$$$$$$!

    Anyone own an AMC?

Worked summers for an AMC Dealer in Queens, NY when I was in college in the early 1970's. I owned a '60 Rambler Custom and a '67 Rambler Rebel V-8. I can not count how many times I was pulled over with the '67 for speeding. (Plain Jane car with a base V-8.) Used a Matador wagon to deliver parts...

Anyone make any Sebring seat brackets...

I have a 98 Sebring and a 63 Valiant. The Sebring seats are very low, but comfortable. I was thinking of getting Sebring seats for my Valiant. Glad to see this thread. My friends think that I am nuts for thinking about this. Those pics with the welding and bolting in of the seats were very...

    An A and a J...The Mirada

The Mirada/Cordoba is also the same as the Imperials from 81-83. I have found that parts are difficult to find for J bodied Mopars. I have an 81 Imperial that is going under full restoration when the weather clears. Some of the Arizona salvage yards may have some parts.

Looking for opinions about PT Cruiser

My son flipped one, rear over front, after the car slipped on oil and gravel in the rain. He wasn't going that fast and the car slid to the curb and then flipped. It was a big scare. A friend has one and is not thrilled with it. It is built on the Neon chassis. My second son had a Neon that I...

    Body or Mechanical first?

I usually go for the mechanicals first. This way you can drive and enjoy the car. You also get a good idea just what mechanicals need to be done.

    Another Project... :)

The '63 and '64 Chrysler were good looking and nice highway drivers. I drove a new one back in 1963 and have always had a desire for one, either 2 or 4 door. Good luck, great car. Enjoy!!!

I'm Thinking of Selling the Ramcharger...

Ramcharger, My wife just survived pancreatic cancer. If they caught it early then there is a good chance. It also depends if it is limited to one specific area of the organ. I most certainly will add your mom to my prayers. My wife is 57. How old, if I may ask, is your mom? Flathead

    Got pulled over today

amzchad: Years ago two senior students of mine came to me to wish me a nice weekend. They were leaving school early because one of the boys just got his license and had his father's car. I also knew the father. I warned them not to cut class but told them to be careful, since I knew that they...

    Old car ads

Nice ads, thanks for the post or as the old song goes: "Thanks for the memories..." I remember when those ads were for new cars. Sorry I sold my 73 Satellite Sebring Coupe, that was one heel of a car. Air conditioner blew ice cold!

    Opinions on purchase?

That kind of rust, in the front, wouldn't be too good for a racer. For a driver, now, that is a different story. I fully restored a 1960 Rambler and had to junk the car when the unibody went 'south'--that broke my heart. ....and that was a daily driver. Yup! The Northeast is not kind to us that...

    K car, anyone?

I had a four door K-car with air. Couldn't: merge onto the highway, couldn't pass unless going down a hill, brakes went every 6 months, exhaust had to be replaced every year, hood popped open and up on the highway.... one good thing...GREAT gas mileage!!!!
