I use a TCI rattler balancer on my slant, and it was for a 440. nO MODS.....but I do use a crank bolt. I had a flat slant pully for power steering modified to bolt to the 440 balancer to spin my 1 wire alt. My 2 cents....Andrew/Kidd

Also, I think for sure the tops of the super 6 carbs also are not round., there is a flat spot on the back of the top opening. I have an extra super 6 carb.....probably needs to be gone through.

I did Clark Copper head gaskets for my 104 overbore on my slant.

I Drag race a slant....have fun trying to get all of the power out of it.My wifes 64 Valiant has a slant I put into it.that car is fun to drive! Will turn the sure grip over at will.....and sounds like a small block. I do own a small block speed car to......so I dont just have the slants.440...

Fastest run was 12.77 @ 104 MPH in the quarter mile.Usually runs high 12's, low 13's. One weekend when we raced at Champion Raceway in Medford, it ran 12's all night long.LOL

If you still want to go with a 2bbl, I have a carb that needs rebuilding, and also have all the kickdown parts.....throttle cable bracket, and stuff also.I DONT have an extra intake,I think I sold my last one......will look for sure. We will be going to LA at the beginning of next month, so...

AH, we are talking the stove pipe!! If you decide you need any stove pipe gaskets, I have some remflex ones laying around.....you are welcome to 1, or more if you have more cars that need them.

Are your intakes and exaust level w/ a straight edge? If they are as close as you can get them, then donr use just any gasket.use a REMFLEX!!! They are the best for this!! I run them on my wifes street/ strip slant 6 car, and on my drag car.....they come w/ a new stove pipe gasket also.You will...

My 67 Barracuda w/ a 273 came from the factory w/ a 3speed.....when I went to swap to a 4 speed the bearing retainer hole(in the bell housing) was different.You should make sure they are the same to save your self a headach. My story gets worse......but the 273 is another animal.LOL
