best place for positive battery/starter cable

Does anyone make the exclusive 1974 positive battery cable ? I know that MoPar discontinued them eons ago , and that the parts stores' "replacement" cables are notoriously wrong , so a "roll-your-own" cable was the only option for years .

Those side marker lamp fasteners are known as Speed Nuts ; they cut themselves a *path* as you tighten them .

    73 Duster parts

That's what's known as the O.S.A.C. Valve (Orificial Spark Advance Control) . For the 1974 model year , this "piece" was moved to the air cleaner's base , and would remain there for the rest of its duration (no pun intended) .

    --->WANTED : Engine Mount Brackets / Ears

I am looking for the engine-side engine mount brackets / "plates" for a '72 318 . The Schumaker poly mounts I put in a few years ago got destroyed due to neglect on my part :sad6: (transmission mount was bad , I didn't have the time nor place to fool with replacing it , so it ripped the...

    need a charcoal cannister

Is your Dart missing its cannister ; or is it there but not functioning ? Have you replaced its filtre ? Is it leaking vacuum ? New ones --direct replacements-- are nowhere to be found ; however , Slant Six Dan has the lowdown on what to buy in the aftermarket . Best of luck !

    OE Gas cap

I've done exactly as Dan recommended , back in the 90's for my '72 Dart and '73 Duster . The O.E.M. handles almost fir exactly , but their mounting holes are off just a bit . While I've not tried it , one could probably elongate the mounting holes in the new cap , and retrofit the o.e.m. handle...

    WANTED - Rubber Floor Covering

Not that I'm wishing anything on you , but I think that you're going to have a hell of a time finding green-specklled rubber flooring . Most cars came with plain black mats , but I have seen tan , green , blue and black ; and obviously the black-with-blue-specklles one I found for my '73...

    49 State Breather ***'y

    As a side note : I recently saw a 1971 Duster without an ECS Canister . It's a Los Angeles-built car , original California-spec build (L.A. built for the southwest primarily ) , original-issue blue/gold Ca plates ; built in Sept '70 . 225 / 904 combo . 2-outlet breather ; one line to the fuel...

    49 State Breather ***'y

Thanks again ! Thanks for clarifying the acronymns ; I'd always called it "EEC" for "Evapourative Emissions Controls" . I'll check out the link you've provided . Thanks for the part numbers and the source for the charcoal :D .

    49 State Breather ***'y

I just noticed the underscored "here" link to an earlier post , and decided to peruse it :happy1: ! Thanks for your detailled tutorial regarding the seemingly-esoteric ECS / EEC setup ! VERY cool ! Now , are you aware of the availability of the charcoal (replacement) and-or the filtre which...

    49 State Breather ***'y

Thanks for your reply , Dan . I'm talking about my '72 Coronet . Its EEC "Charcoal" Canister has vacuum leaks galore , so I've removed it for the time being ; I'm going to fix its leaks eventually , but in the meantime , I'm looking to put a non-EEC breather on it . I agree that the '72 &...

    49 State Breather ***'y

The breather I'm looking for was also used on 383's and 440's , regular as well as HP . 1970 - 1971 ; perhaps up through at least '75 or so on trucks and vans .

    WANTED - Rubber Floor Covering

Both of my A's received the base models' rubber flooring in place of the carpeting . Back in the 90's , stripped-down model Darts ( 170's , Specials , Customs ) and Valiants / Dusters were filling pick-a-part 'yards . I helped myself to a black set for my '72 Swinger ( from a '70 340 Swinger...

WTB - Breather for 49-State 318/340/360 , 1970 - ???? . It's the breather with 3 nipples ; one to the air cleaner base , one to the fuel bowl , and one to the fuel tank return line . I've pitched ( not literally ) the vacuum-leak-infested EEC Canister, and now I want to add the 'correct' ...

Thanks for your detailled reply and for answering my questions . I now know what you're referring to regarding the vacuum pod on the pass-side cover . For whatever reason , I couldn't visualise it at first . I plan to media-blast 'em ( after a good degreasing of course ! ) , so their...

WTB: Rocker ("Valve") Covers , Small Block

P.S. - Chromed and-or aftermarket items will be considered if : - their price is reasonable - provisions for PCV , breather , and oil fill are present - internal baffles ( non-baffled covers like to let oil sweat-out around the PCV / Breather / Oil Fill . ). Thanks again !

WTB: Rocker ("Valve") Covers , Small Block

I'm looking for a pair of Rocker ("Valve") Covers for a small block of '70-'85 vintage . I'd prefer the later model police 318/360 versions , as those have the oil-fill tube ( as opposed to the fill cap being 'flush' mounted ). These MUST be affordable , and hopefully be close to 92562 (...
