Either cap will work...I see mostly black ones on later Mopars, All the early Mopars I have had have had Tan caps. Not a fan of the vent look. Most of those are replacement caps, foreign made to replace the non vented ones. I have also seen Offshore Tan cap with vents. There is also a difference...

I use Pertronix on most of my stuff. And to keep it stock looking, I solder a wire behind the resistor to bypass it...Looks stock.. Also I shrink wrap the two wires from the distributor. Gotta look close to pick it out...

I have reused several harnesses. I take em outside and spray them with Spray 9, scrub em with a small brush, hose em off. Let them dry fully in the sun. Then I spray them with WD40. They usually look brand new. Mind you, these are harnesses with soft , supple coverings and I do check for green...

If you look close at the lock cyl...there is a brass pin.. that needs to go past acc, in order to instlall... Put the key in it and turn it to acc...then look at the brass pin... Depress the pin a little with a pic.. and continue to turn the key past acc.. and it should find the correct detent...

Same thing I do when installing Pertronix.

Here's another idea... I used a 34 series AGM Battery from Advance in my GTS, $100. Made sure it was Black first, pulled off all the stickers and found these Mopar Stickers around the shop for it.

Had a 1 yr old Red top go bad in a guys Road Race car I was working on. I was able to get Advance to replace it for free tho. I bought an Advance AGM battery for my GTS project. Then... I promptly pull all the stickers off of it and made it my own MOPAR battery.

You should remove the bearings before powder coating. I'm assuming that the rotor is still attached to the front case. You will need to press the rotor and the bearing out of the front case. You will also need to pull the rear torrington bearing from the rear case. Make sure there are no...

I think I saw a thread on another site about this problem. Apparently there are two different switches, with one being longer than the other. The difference is the reach of the switch into the trans. Hope that helps.

If it's the plug in type, like used on B body cars, you can buy an electronic one. The guages will work much better. Look on Ebag
