3D printed body parts? Anyone tried?

Well I've seen a company that prints large private boats many times longer than a car so size limitations are not an issue, it's just a matter of finding who and where. It looked pretty fast too, would certainly do a car part in good time. I have access to free printer use but have to pay for...

3D printed body parts? Anyone tried?

I saw online some big parts like front air dams etc can be printed in flexible plastics like polypropylene or ABS. If anyone knows a place that prints big stuff in theory you could scan a part and get it printed in plastic. I'm thinking reproduce lighter parts. Could be scoops or anything. You...

    Direct Connection Duster any pictures?

Bumping just to see if anyone else knows about this test car? All I've found is its was probably a 400, may have been tunnel rammed at some stage, had DC spoilers front and rear, and glass bumpers, smoothed over rear trunk lock, and had small direct connection white decals above the duster...

73 -76 Dusters, lets see your scoops

I'm leaning towards the sixpack. Has anyone tried UP22's sixpack hood? They're slightly taller than the factory sixpack scoop. Wondering how well the scoop blends in with the lines on the 73 style hood?

What are good methods of estimating horsepower?

Got to remember the formula can only calculate how much power you can put to the road, I bet even the best tractioned car can't use more than 85 to 90% of it's power effectively so 218hp wouldn't be bad for a stock 340.

What are good methods of estimating horsepower?

ET elapsed time over the 1/4 take that and cube it or times it by itself 3 times.

What are good methods of estimating horsepower?

Weight of car in pounds x 197 then divide by ET cubed equals horsepower put to ground. Not sure how to type that better on here. Did that make sense?

73 -76 Dusters, lets see your scoops

I appologise if this is on another thread, but anyhoo, I'm having trouble choosing a scoop for my Duster. I'd like an early prostock style but don't want anything too high, thought about the factory twin snorkle style, or a sixpack style, lets see what you've got. I'm trying for a late 70's...

    Direct Connection Duster any pictures?

Hi all, has anyone seen any other pictures of this DC Duster? What scoop did it have, wheels etc, it has a DC front spoiler and its a B or RB motor, was curious to know if there were ever any other photos taken of the car?

Can someone in Phoenix look at a car for me?

Thanks for your reply, I'm currently looking at another duster that's near a friends brother, so I haven't actually phoned the seller yet, I was just looking for the usual hidden rust and if the blow over white paint was just external and easily sanded off, and if the side trim was the peel and...

    South Africans! Valiant Charger question.

Damn, after asking this I found one easily in a google search, yep, duster tail lights, and a dart front. Man and Right hand drive, that would be soo cool! I've seen a few SA RHD and NZ new barracudas, and dart sedans (called valiant regals) but none of the SA chargers.

    South Africans! Valiant Charger question.

Wondering if any South Africans, or anybody else knows if the 1970-72 Valiant Charger had duster tail lights or Demon, or another style all together. Seeing it came out before the Demon in theory and I've never seen one from behind. I wondered what the rear looked like.:-k

Straight outta the 70's Pro Stock, or Pro Street modern twist?

Go the 70's!!! Go with a retro paint scheme too. And Super tricks will be cool, they were good enough for Landy. I agree on the stance though, don't go too raked, but just a little for attitude. Should be bad ***, wish someone would build one of those locally.

    Damn gas price

You think you guys have got it bad. Its just gone $2.20/L down here for 91octane, ten years ago it was only70 sumpthing cents, used to cost $38 to fill the dart, now its nearer $130! Last time I filled it was $2, it just keeps rising! And alot of this is due to our damn government and these...

70 Dart VS. 69 Dart VS. 71 DEMON

I'd take the 69, but GTS's are too fussy, I'd do a swinger, or something very low key looking. If the duster/demon clone were very cheap and rough , I'd do a 70's prostock style, something Landy would like to drive.:burnout:

Speedo gauge: Miles per hour vs. Kilometers

Looks like the odometer must be in Kms too which is cool, I have a 1970 New Zealand spec instrument cluster I haven't put in a car. It just had a KPH decal stuck over the miles, and the odometer is still in miles. :dontknow:

    Not a nova

What about "Has that thing got a Hemi in it? Boy did that get tiring real quick! My Darts been called a rambler, a ford, but never a GM. Is it just me, or is the styling on GM cars of the late 60's, early 70's just a bit clumbsey compaired with the Mopars? If you ever studied anything about...

What have you named your car?

My Dad named my cars, I was going to paint one dart forest green, so it had to be Forest, then the grey one got called Jeb after Jeb Stuart naturally, he still hasn't named my 67 D100, I just call it Red, (toreador red paint) I need more imagination.

I was messaging someone from Vansauto, and they said they were going to reproduce the 67 A-body armrests  but only in chrome:angry7: damn. I asked them why not do them in black, I hate the way my originals lost all their chrome, but I guess they are just looking at the GT resto market...

    Crazy Drivers

Man that sucks big time, for this reason they are looking at making it illegal to talk on a hand held phone while driving down here.
