    big tire 66

Sorry Rusty - my rims are 7" but I don't recall the backspace spec.

    big tire 66

245-60-14's on mine on an old style set of chrome reverse rims. They don't rub anywhere, but I couldn't go any bigger with my current rims and 7.25" diffy. With some careful measuring, and the correct width and backspace rims, you MIGHT be able to stuff a little more tire in there.

    So, I'm back again!

Hey Mike. Welcome back. Was that a typo, or is that registered as a 1965? It should be a 1966.

Question about mounts for V8 in Early-A

I had the washers in there to fill the gap, but this time I'll weld a piece of steel to the mount ear and drill it for a cleaner look. :)

Question about mounts for V8 in Early-A

Here's how your 273 mount should look on your 360 Scott.

Picked up my 1st early A body

Neat find. It looks like they moved the springs inside the frame rails. If you have any trouble finding a grill, I have a 65 Valiant with a good grill here in Alberta - no candy canes though. I've HEARD a lot about the Dakota manifolds fitting the early A chassis, but this is the first time...

Some newer shots of my 65

Thanks for the reply. I'm running 225/60/r14 and I wasn't sure if the 235 would fit or not. Guess it will with the proper wheel. :)

Need Info on slant 6 to V8 swap

Have a look at page 2 of this thread. I've posted some photos and measurements of the V8 dropped center link that you'll need, but may already have on your car. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/...n+early+A+body

Need Info on slant 6 to V8 swap

A lot of the 66's came with the dropped link, even if they had the /6 installed.

Some newer shots of my 65

roadrunnerreds, I believe the difference in the CDN and US cars was brought about by something in the Auto Pact agreement between the 2 countries. There were no A body Darts produced in Canada prior to 1967. However, the CDN Plymouth Valiant was built on the 111" US Dart platform, not the 108"...

    Early A experts, opinions wanted

There were no Darts in Canada prior to 67. The CDN Valiant was actually the same as a US Dart, except for the badging. (Vart) That looks like a nice clent, straigt example of the breed. Buy it and enjoy it.

    Rear Suspension Setup

For the ~375 HP level, a good set of replacement springs and a good set of HD stock type gas shocks will do the job quite nicely for a street car. I used a set or rear leaf springs from a 70 Duster 340, had them re-arched, and put on a good set of Monroe gas-matic type shocks on my 66 with about...

    Finally getting an early A-Body

Good luck with the sale Vic. Sorry to hear you have to sell after all the work you've done, but you obviously have your priorities straight. Family first, then the toys, and the toys can always be replaced.

    904 or 727 Trans for 375 hp?

Is this 904 behind a 273 or a /6? If it's already a V8 tranny, then build it and use it.
