    I've searched but...

the last 5 or 6 pages are on primer/paint. I do not know if these were hand sprayed at the factory or done by machine. But if done by hand they didn't have cups on their guns and were most likely sprayed from pots...

    Is it worth it?

a-body 8.75, $750 4-spd gear box - $500 bell-housing, flywheel, down-bar, z-bar - $2-300, if 9", if 10.5 inch more. pedals $150 bucket seats - 3-400 quick $2100 right there and there is still the whole rest of the car. LOTS of good trim on that car! I dont see a down side for that car at that price.

Interesting way to attack that issue. Keep it updated i am curious how it works out for you. Seems a pretty straight forward approach though.

    certi-card

I don't think any of the holders were riveted from the factory. The certicard holder was one piece that folded onto itself it had clips molded on it that pushed through pre-drilled holes in the inner fenderwells. in 68 it came out of the engine compartment and went in the glove box in a plastic...

1965 factory Special Equipment Package #4060?

Jeff I wonder if it was actually code 406 with a typo? Code 406 is heater delete, but that normally is a credit and not a charge.

    1963 data plate info

The tags for 65 and earlier didn't follow the pattern as it did the 66 and up tags. The nice thing on the early cars (67 and earlier) is that you can get the build card from Chrysler historical.

    Fender tag addition?

It could be the remnant of an inspection/strip tag. They went through a series of inspections and each inspector would remove part of the tag until a small part was left. I have seen this in the newer 70's cars, but not one this early. The later cars strip tag was tin and cut off. Many of the...

If you're converting from a 90 degree adapter to the std one? mopar part number 2206372 it is the same bolt w-w/o the 90 degree adapter. So you could, if converting, use the one from the 90 degree adapter oil filer mounting. Or call chrysler and see if you can just buy a new one...

New decoding a fender tag thread

It is not listed there. My 67 has the same anomaly except the paint code is LL(4). It is the factory stripe. The factory stripes are really pretty damn rare, I have only seen a few that had factory coded stripes. I've seen a lot of add-on stripes, but not supported by fender tag. Another oddity...

    barracuda rear floor removal

Assume 67-9 fastback - you could try to remove the rear hatch and the bolts that fasten the rear sub floor to the floor, After doing that you may be able to wedge the sub floor up to give you space to remove the filler tube. Otherwise you'll need to remove the rear seat back 4 bolts and the...

    vin question

We really need to know what the hidden numbers are on your car to have any real opinion either positive or negative. Other than that this is all completely based on pure conjecture. The VIN is not a factory assigned VIN it does not contain the proper sequence of letters or numbers to be able to...
