i have never heard of torqueing a power valve...snug it up good and thats it...

they had avs carters or 3 holleys....

would like to,i did install the msd atomic efi on a chevelle last week.imo the fast system looks to me to be the way to go.the msd unit is much more entry level...

too pricey,get mallory comp 140 pump.quiet and reliable....

working on a 73 challenger,it has a cast crank 440.its all stock except for a set of headman headers.someone put a 1406 eddy carb with an adaptor on it.he wants a different carb.i suggested the summit rebuilt thermoquad.any thoughts on this???

i wouldnt like rob said its a big truck carb.if you want to run better offthe streetmaster intake for a stock spreadbore intake and a thermoquad from acordoba....

how much fel pressure do you have at the carbs?set it at 6 psi and changethe needle and seat on the carb flooding over...:dontknow:

take some pics of your setup.and rick is right make sure the float settings are correct.put the rear carb in front.

some kind of vac leak i bet....

it has a sumped tank,-8 to 140 gph 19 psi pump,1/2 inch tubing to -8 to reg to -6 to carb.

i have my fuel pres set at 6.at full throttle it goes down to 3 1/2.i know it should be more than that.going to set it at 7 and see what it runs at.what should it be wide open?

i would rather have a quadrajet than an eddy afb any time...

i would get the stealth its a nice intake...

except that pump costs over 300.00 and i cant afford that.
