Is there a trick or certain method for taking out the defroster vents so I can paint them ? Upside down and back throw out, then gentle with flat screwdriver produced no results that would not have damaged the vents. I know there has to be something I'm missing or just plain don't know. THX

IMHO it would depend on just how light the exterior met' green is. I'm going to suggest this then show the post to my wife. Ask a woman. They may not all be into cars and you'll learn names of color shades you never knew existed but, BUT, you just might get some viable input.

I got a "plastic" dash pad overlay from an eBay seller that fits perfect. For an extra charge he will match color.

I got my replacements from link below for 65 Dart. Color was perfect match and very reasonable price. Just don't ask them for help on what you need. Their lawyer must have had input. I got the bolt kits as well because their's are drilled for regular bolts rather than OEM type anchor bolts...

I pulled the auto shift console and painted not only the "insert" but the base also. A rocket scientist may not call it a perfect match but if anyone wants pics then PM your email and I'll send a side-by-side comparision. My OS is Vista so image reductions are a PITA. Regards to all, R

My 65 Dart GT has two cracks in the dash pad, liveable but ugly. There's a guy, "Bob", on eBay who sells dash pad covers and will "match" color for an additional $35. Has anyone bought one of these and if so opinion of quality and fit ? THX
