'67-'69 Dart AMD Bumper Pics Needed

Me either. I had convinced myself they were straight but I had no reference. This is helping though! I'm thinking AMD doesn't add in that small contour into their bumper so they don't fit quite like factory. Damn I really am going to miss that nice original I had.

'67-'69 Dart AMD Bumper Pics Needed

Thanks for posting! Hard to tell but is your straight edge touching the sides of the lid? Does it look straight in person or more of a tapered gap in the center?

'67-'69 Dart AMD Bumper Pics Needed

Those of you that have AMD bumpers on '67-'69 Darts, please post pics of the fitment to the trunk lid and quarter panels if you have them. Something is not right with mine. Body shop says there's a dip in the bumper but the trunk lid itself looks bowed up in the center to me. I thought the Dart...

    Fix it now or wait?

Inner quarters are probably suspect too. As long as you keep the car dry, the rust won't grow too much. But if you're going to be constantly driving it rain or shine, then that will get worse in a hurry.

Cleaning and Rust Proofing inside Frame Rails

I cut holes where I could, blew out cavities, vacuumed, whatever I had to in order to get them cleaned out. Every frame rail I had was opened up in some way in order to do this and a patch was welded back in place afterward. Then used the Eastwood internal frame coating.

    Beater Daily Driver trunk repair.

I used 22 ga sheet metal to replace mine and I think 3/4" square tubing underneath for support.

Sounds like it worked good for you. Who woulda thunk it? A torch and scraper worked well for me.

    Prime & Paint underside questions

POR 15 won't stick well to nice clean metal surfaces. It likes rusty or rough. I can't hardly remove it most of the time but where my floor pans were replaced, if I accidental scratched it, I could start peeling it off like sunburned skin. Just make sure the loose rust is gone and it will...

I sprayed this stuff in ever nook and cranny I couldn't get into. Seemed to coat well.

    removing undercoating

Exactly. It's not the funnest job, but it saves yourself 4 or 5 hundred bucks on blasting and I was in no position to get my car on a rotisserie.

    removing undercoating

I used a propane torch and it came right off. Everything else like rust and paint I wire wheeled down to the metal. This was my work attire. Cover every part of your body that you can. I looked like a goober but I was protected with safety goggles plus a face shield. It was the nastiest...

    Under carriage/under chassis pics..

Agreed. I painted mine with Por 15 semi gloss and it turned out pretty nice, but I don't think the black looks as nice as a car that has the undercarriage painted the same as the body. Here's mine before/after.

Super B wing on Dart ????

Seems like I saw one on a notchback barracuda some years ago in a magazine and for some reason I think it was green in color. I think ithe wing was scaled down to fit the car. I can't say it looked stellar.....:wack:

    Rear quarter window issues

OK that helps. The window does not move inward easily, at least at the back. The front portion seems a little clanky and loose but it sounds like I need to find the adjustment screws or whatever and see if I can't get the glass to come inward more at the back and tighten it up at the front...

    Rear quarter window issues

I hadn't noticed until now that my passenger side rear quarter window does not roll up into the groove on the upper weatherstripping seal. It sits outboard too far and has started to curl the weatherstripping over. This is mostly noticeable at the rear corner. The window itself is also very...
