You can please some of the people some of the time but you cannot please all the people all the time. Whenever I side step the clutch the appropriate things happen,it seems as though if you raise your foot really fast it would cause the clutch to slip! Opinions VARY.

I use a little on the bolts through the flywheel to crank,pressure plate to flywheel,and some more to the trans to bellhousing for a third reason VIBRATION.I believe it's the blue I use because it doesn't get hard like the red. Also on the motor and trans mounts,like red fish said a little dab...

I thought the trans had the partial vin on the passenger side, lower part on a raised flat with the #'s stamped in. Sometimes the paint or grease hides the stamped #'s...Good luck!

I had one HELL of a time doing mine, I ended up needing 2 friends unbolted the bell,unbolted the trans from the bell and lined up all of them at the same time because the trans was hitting the tunnel around the trans crossmember... if and when I do again it'll be out of the car or the centerlink...

You didn't say what year of baracuda. If you have a 64-66 use the steel bracket only off of a dodge pickup INSTANT SOLID MOUNT!!!

I have a 340 4 speed 8 3/4 with 391gear. I have a stock clutch for a big block 409 AMC @ 10 1/2" Just got greased this past summer but was leaving SURE-GRIP marks for @ 2 city bus lengths long and great drivability.

I my self have had bad luck with the 3 finger type. I guess I'm not that picky. I only have a stock style diaphram style for a big block 409[I think]AMC 10 1/2".Many hole shots and beatings later its still working fine.

I have a set of pedals for a 74 dart sport that i have parted out. i used all the parts on my 64 but the ball and stud arrangement is only held in place with only 1 bolt with blue loctight. I know I need the different Z-bar arrangement and orthe ball stud arrangementthat bolts to tranny...

I have heard of another way to be able to do away with the ball and trunion setup...an adapter bolts to the tranny by the 4 bolts and a truck style drive shaft "2 piece"is used but big and bulky.:munky2:
