I have a B body shift arm in my A body and it is perfect. I replaced the E body one that was in it.

PM me and send me the old ones if you have them. PVC is not a great option but I have some engineering grade plastic rod in my R&D shop at work I can make them from. It's high temp and graphite impregnated.

I think Brewers has them but your jaw will hit the floor when you see the price.....

M.H. I did get a kit from Brewers for everything but they hacked and welded things up so the kit does not fit with the Z bar. I'll do some fabrication to try to restore it close to original.

Does anyone have a picture of the pins that attach the Z bar to the pedal linkage and the clutch fork linkage for a 70 small block. Mine seems kind of hacked together. I bought a new rod for the for from Brewers but the pin on the Z bar is only about 5/16" diameter.

Hmmm what Amsoil were you using? I have been using the MT rated gl4 for 2 years now and I love it. My trans shifts better than it ever has. Did you use the wrong lube? It is important to make sure the gear lube is rated GL4 don't use GL5 in your trans.

Oh, yes i am missing a piece of sheet metal that goes between the block and the bellhousing on the passengers side, does anyone have a picture you can send me of the part. Oh , and the lower bolt hole is missing on mine because the last owner decided to hack it off with a saw for some reason....

That looks like mine, but on the passengers side the one bolt goes to nothing but air, and when that cover is on I still have a gap that when you look down by the oil filter, you can see the flywheel. So what am I missing on this?

So it seems I am missing a part of the inspection cover on the passengers side that leaves the lower part open? Is the cover 2 pieces or did someone hack this together on me? The oil I found appears to have come from when I had a leak at the oil filter plate and it ran off the header and...

I just don't have the funds for a replacement at the moment, I'll have to see if I can get by for a while. There wasn't "light" oil in there anyplace so cleaned it good and will check again in a week to see what it looks like. The inspection cover is not from this car either, has an extra bolt...

Pulled the inspection cover tonight, what a rusted mess, yikes. That and a bunch of black "tar" mess. Hard telling what is going on in there. Most things the previous owner did are suspect, so not sure what to do other than get what life I can out of it then replace it all.

I just checked it when I changed the speedo pinion a week ago, are you thinking it is too full? I also need to pull the cover and look at the clutch type, isn't there something about removing the over center spring on a certain style also that would keep if from fully engaging?
