I am going from 4 wheel drum, to 4 wheel disc with an 8.8 rear. I was going to begin by not changing anything. I figure that a 4 drum set up has to be apportioned close to 4 disc set up

I do have a set of magnum force tubular UCA, they are already powdercoated. I am going to be putting up for sale for $200 shipped to lower 48 States.

I had drum brakes on my 72 Dart, front and rear. I have switched to front disc brakes and am in the process of rear disc brakes. I still have the drum/drum master cylinder on the car, is the master cylinder proportion going to be the same as disc/disc? Or should I buy a special master cylinder...

Love challenges, huh.... I challenge you to come to my house and completely restore my 72 Dart and put in the 340.

all stock a-body 8 3/4 axles have the small bolt pattern, but if you are going rear disc, you will probably have to go with big bolt pattern.

Keep the brakes on the top. If you put them on the bottom, dirt and mud will settle on top of the brake pads and fall into the caliper. I hope you can understand what I am saying, I explained it a litle unclear.

All of your custom made parts have been inspirational to my 72 Dart. I haven't done hardly **** to mine, but when I look at one of your threads, I go and get at least something done on it... Even the axle shortening that chapped that others a$$. Keep up the great work

Why couldn't you just have the backing plate put on before the bearing, and then press the bearing on? Would that work or am I picturing it wrong?

I know this is old, but I am interested to see if you did this? I think a dana 44 does have the same size axles (spline and thickness).

Yes, I did change the lower ball joints to the newer 73-76 style joints. Also put on tubular UCA, and disk brake spindles. The UCA rubbed against the mounts on the frame, didn't like having to trim that area. I just like the calipers on the rear of the rotors, keeps the dirt out (dirt causes...

I had just done a disk brake swap on my 72 Dart. I had installed the Calipers on the rear of disks instead of the front. Is there gonna be any issues if I leave the calipers on the rears of the rotors rather than the front. The only immediate issue I had noticed, and may not be from the install...

I took them out by unbolting the UCA from the frame because it was all being replaced. I am not gonna tighten them up yet, I have decided to replace the torsion bars with the new 1" ones while I have it up and apart.
