    You are going to need to track down a V8 centerlink, exhaust manifolds and motor mounts and brackets for an early A-body. Is the car 3 on the tree or something? I would keep it manual shift if it were me. I warmed over 318 will make that car plenty fast enough for a cruiser.

    The bolts up front by the water outlets on the heads tend to corrode. I have reused all the magmun intake boltson jobs I have done. They are not torque to yield.

    If you have access to a good mig welder you can get the stud out. Flux core wire will not work, you must use argon to get the weld to stick. Weld up the end of the stud so you can grab it with vise grips. The heat of the weld will help loosen the stud.

    I have an edelbrock performer 318/360 on a cammed low compression 318 and it runs great. The cross section of the ports is a little smaller than the ld4b so velocity is a bit higher on the smaller engine.
