if you take some masking tape and cover the hard corners,top,front of fenders,roof line,that sort of edge,you can work the buffer up to that point so as not to burn the edges. take your time and do it right
if you go to your local paint shop and get the longest hard foam block they have and a roll of their 80 grit so as to tear it into the correct length to fit said board you'll be down to bare metal in no time. Always sand in diaganol lines while stripping , it just makes it easier to see where...

autozone and advance auto have lens polishing kits for plastic lenses in the auto body section. They seem to work fine for me and the luster is very nice
I picked up a set from layson's,out of one of the yards that they do business with and the bezels don't have one pit anywhere and the lenses were absolutely perfect after a little polish
doc I can't remember the date but the next time I have it off I'll check the business card that is "glazed" in to the rear of the license plate area, that seemed a little odd to me when I saw it but what a great way to mark parts and get return business on used parts
