    Making my hemi scoop functional.

I got the scoop mounted today..not to happy with the bolt on tabs but we made due. I used 20g aluminum for my base and folded a 1/4 inch on all four sides to give it some strength. I didn't want to copy your design Spaz so I made up a round flashing that slipped into the hole in the hood and...

    Making my hemi scoop functional.

That is what I would go with, you have enough orange in the engine to off-set the black. Going orange would be to much. AL I'm thinking wrinkle black for the baseplate and brackets.:supz:

What I am doing for mine is running two peices of string, one taping it to either side of the fenders and the other from the cowl to the grille, but they will intersect at the center of the carb bolt. Mark the tape where the string is then close the hood and put the string back on top of the...

    new guage

Those Equuis gauges are not the greatest, you will find the the fuel gauge will fluctuate, more so when the fuel sloshes around in the tank. Anyway if your going to do it I would splice the gauge somewhere around by the kick panel, and leave the remaining blue wire behind the panel so if you...

    2 1/8" round fuel gauge

leblanc if you have a "Parts Source" out your way you can buy the one from Equuis made for Mopars. I have one and it works great. It is a 2 1/8 white faced and ran me about $30. If not Crappy Tire carries them as well. AL

Sending Unit in a 1971 dart swinger

If you do try to tighten the nuts on the back of the fuel gauge you will not have to pull the dash. A small socket wrench with an extention and a 3/8 socket will fit up on the left side of the streering column very easily. AL

    Electric fuel pump

The mechanical pump is there just not hooked up. I am really not a fan of electric pumps. The last owner said he had a large carb on the car and the mech pump was feeding enough gas to it so he swapped it for the electric. Which is why I was wondering if there is a way to check to see if the...
