    hi guys I bought a 383 awhile back I want to check the clearance on the rods and mains but all I can find is in my old mopar performance it calls for .001 - .025 for mains but I cant find anything for the rods. any help is appriciated. thanks shiifty :read2:

    I will definitely be checking it over I don't want any nasty surprises I didn't see the plug missing til I got it home yesterday I am going to plastigauge all the bottom end and check all the oil plugs are in place.

    I think you can order new flanges from schumaker it is just a factory two bolt flange though might find something for a bb manifold somewhere.

    you've found the best place hop on over to the small block fourm and see what they have as far as advice goes they will know best setups for the 318 and help you out on the tech parts as far as interior throw in some summit race seats and covers no carpet and no rear seat interior problem solved :)

    I used the transmission from a new yorker I didnt have to modify the tranny well at all but I didn't use a truck tranny I don't think they're any diffrent as far as case size just in length
