    T-5 lights...

What an absolute pain in the arse these things can be. Put 3 up in the bay I use for work. Had 0 troubles with them until I built my smoker under them. Now on all 3 of them the rear most bulb is out. Swapped bulbs, they worked. Seems like they need to be twisted to just the right spot to work...

Holy crap...bought a used Snap On torque wrench off of FleaBay. It is,not the kind where you rotate the handle to set it, it has a knob on the side...anyway when I got it it was turned up to 175 ft.lbs. Stumbled onto a Snap On truck...he told me $75 to calibrate...plus shipping...Ouch...he did...

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005POGY74/?tag=fabo03-20 ...from Napa the other day. My Duramax has a leak. Not a very consistent leak so it has managed to make a disaster under the truck. Anyhow...what to spray? Have acetone, odorless mineral spirits and a gallon of Brake clean in transit...

    Need a soldering iron...

The board in my ABS module apparently has some soldered joints that have failed. Was going to pull the module off and ship it to get repaired. Changed my mind. I have one of those clunky Weller guns...far from ideal for working on a circuit board. Any suggestions?

    Trailer plate lights....

Have these bolts that have LEDS in them that I was using as players lights. I mounted the plate on the left fender, using rivets and these 2 led bolts. Continuity check....

Lost power to our well house on Sunday. One leg of the breaker box had 120v, the other 85 or so. Initially I thought a gopher may have chewed the wires. Last night our electric water heater went out...strangely it is back on now. Checked it's power last night, mimicked the well house. 120v on...

    Duty cycle....

It is based off of an hourly cycle, correct? Duty cycle is 15 minutes that means you can use this device for 15 straight minutes followed by a 45 minute rest, correct? Have a grinder for my chains on my chainsaws. During cooler months, when the garage is 30* or so the thing will run non-stop...

    Mig splatter....

Recently switched the spool. Was using Harbor Freight wire, .035". Picked up a spool from Oxarc, with the cash customer discount paid less $$ at Oxarc than HF. Metals being welded are clean, but having a crap load of splatter. Beads look good, minus the splatter. Should I lower the voltage...

    Bottle prices....

Went and swapped out my Mig bottle yesterday. Need to bend some stuff on my reverse flow smoker project so I asked about oxy-acetylene bottles. Plasma cutter troubles...

Been working on my Reverse Flow smoker, cutting .250" plates for the firebox. Replaced the tip/electrode cutting like a champ. Have the amperage turned all the way up. Hooked to my compressor, never drops below a regulated 100 psi. After making 20' or so of cuts it flat out struggles to blast...

    Good angle grinder, corded...

My old Makita finally bit the dust. Was cleaning up the inside of the 55 gallon drum that is going to be a smoker. Thanks to the nerve/tendon troubles both my wrists cramped up and I dropped it while it was running. I had my head inside the drum while it happened. Luckily it didn't hit me but my...

    Notebook

Anybody else keep a notebook/journal in there garage? Mine started out as just a simple thing with a few notes on the car. Now it's a full blown disaster. Car crap, bike junk, water heater parts schematics for our tank less water heater, welder manuals, chain saw crap. Saved the ends of the...

    Bike lift...

With the upcoming bike build/rebuild I decided I needed a lift. With how expensive metal is I probably could have bought one for damn near what it cost to build. Chop saw

Needed a new blade. Was near Harbor Freight when I remembered. 5 pack for 20 bucks or whatever it was. First few cuts went like a hot knife thru soft butter. Electrical connector storage....

What are you folks using to store all your connectors? Between all the weather pack grommets/connectors and all the standard junk (rings/butts/male & female push on etc.) what I am using just does not have enough bins. Looking for something that will house it all and be portable....
