the first center section grabbed is a 741 case, it needed a pinion so I put one in. the problem is when I go to torque it down the yoke seal shield hit the case and before I get reach torque the pinion doesn't spin free anymore. it did prior seal change. crush sleeve problem?

i am about to get a drive live made, so if I got this right put the slip yoke in transmission all the way. pull it out about an inch and measure from the center of u joints right that is the length number i need correct.

Dana 44 (from the marks on the carrier) 30 spline Limited Slip carrier. I don't know what it came out of. The numbers on the carrier are: 5 12 0 A, 22017X, NC30755 N A R 1 X, 44 AUTO.............. does anybody know if this dana fits in the 8 3/4 housing.
