Good day, I know I will lose abunch of power but could I take enough timing out to run 12.2:1 compression on 91octane with no detonation? Currently for max power it's set at 34deg all in but I run 100LL AV gas or I mix 50/50 premium with race fuel. Thanks.

Who makes smallblock headers that hug the block the least? I have a rear sump road racing pan on my 340. So headers such as TTI are a no go since they hug the block so close. I've done some clearancing on my stroker for the rod bolts/rods to clear at the bottom of the cylinder and also on the stud girdle. All the clearances on the block look good at 30-40 thou. And about the same on most of the girdle except a couple spots which are at 20 thou. Can I leave it there...

Is anyone using the Canton 11-502 circle track pan and TTI 1 7/8" Headers? The pan is a rear sump, so probably not a popular choice for most but I have a RMS AlterKtion front end so fitment is no issue other then my question about the headers. Thanks for any input.
