Hey guys, I installed my pistons this last weekend and I got to thinking about it and I don't think I remembered to index my compression rings (locate the ring gaps). Am I over a barrel or can I let it go? I am still at a point that I can take the pistons out, but I would rather not. Thoughts?

I'm getting ready to prime and paint my 340 and I have a question about priming the block. I've seen some blocks prime not only the outside of the engine, but also the lifter valley and the main girdles inside the block. Is this recommended?
