10 lbs of oil pressure on engine break in..........

That's great at least you found it and it's nothing major. It's all down hill from here.

Cool happy you found it. It's always something dumb. Good luck from here. God willing this fix's all your trouble!

Yeah, but just my rotten luck i tried to put it in and dropped it somewhere in the engine. Looks like it coming out and a complete teardown, the worst possible case and it here......

Thanks to everyone for all the help! I couldnt have done it without all the years of knowledge you gentlemen have.

Put the screwdriver in the slot that drives the bottom of the distributor shaft. Twist counter clockwise. If it doesnt walk up on its own you have another issue such as the bottom of the shaft being twisted where it goes into the oil pump.

I think I would have a word with your machine shop, if you didn't take it out someone did and should have told you to put it back in, wont help you now but maybe the next guy will benefit from it.

what I understand is he put a new oil punp shaft bushing in and it shrunk when he drove it in and then forced the shaft down in the now under size bushing and now it is jammed in the bushing but I maybe wrong .

Oh....well that isn't any good.... I guess that he will have to pull the oil pump and tap the shaft out from below.

Well, i spent all night after dropping that plug in the engine trying to figure out where it went. I got up early figuring that i was headed towards pulling the engine but opted to give it one last look over on a more clear head. It turned out that it landed between 2 pushrods, what a relief! I was able to pull the manifold and get that plug installed, and sure as **** 67lbs at idle! It sounds great too! Im still a couple of days away from getting driving but thats a huge weight off my brain. Thanks again for everyone's input, its been priceless.

Yeah, they took it out at the shop and didn't say anything about it. I believed them when they said the don't remove them but the fact that it wasnt there says otherwise. I didn't check the one that was missing because I couldn't get the shaft out, when I was able to get it out it was obvious that it wasn't plugged. Thanks again for your help!
