1964-66 A body Gen 3 motor mounts

-
Here for the updates. I have only seen one Gen 3 swapped into a early A body using a steering box. They made custom headers. When I set mine in with a steering box it was to tight. I ended up going with a aftermarket k member.
What aftermarket K member did you use? What did it use for steering, Mustang II rack?

What specifically are you doing with Brakes and suspension? I see the Wildwood box. What types calipers, what size rotors? ARe these to replace the factory brakes and go on factory spindles? What about springs, sway bars, etc? Thanks.
Nothing fancy. Used the Wilwood 11" discs on the 10" drum spindles. Already has the oem sway bar. Switched to a dual res master cylinder and new lines and prop valve. KYB's on the front and Monroe air shocks on the rear. The rear spring are new units for an early Mustang using the original mopar top leaf. 17x7wheels with 215/45 on the front and 17x8 245/45 on the rear. I drilled the original rear axles and drums for 5x4.5 to match the front.

Wanted to update. I gave up on the T56 swap with the hemi mainly because I didnt want to butcher my floor. I am linking the hemi to my 833 4 speed. I found that the hooker hemi block hugger headers clear everything. New updates soon.

Lookin good!
How do you know the hookers clear? Please keep updating. I’m slowly gathering parts to put one of my hemi’s into my ‘64 Valiant with an 833 as well.

I've test fitted it. Sorry my updates are slow. I'm working on several different rigs at the moment. I am working on modifying B body hemi mounts for the A body and will provide all the dimensions to make it easy and cheap for the next person.

Could you give the part number for the hooker headers? I have my wagon fitted with Jeep srt8 manifolds, but even with all the mods (alterktion, new inner fenderwells, etc.) it is really tight. I wouldn’t mind trying some headers to gain some clearance.

Thank you! Any way I could talk you into taking a pic of these next to the Jeep manifolds?
This is great info for a lot of folks…

Been reading a lot but still can't come up with a solution for motor mounts. Is everyone making their own mounts.? Seems from older threads some outfit used to make them but no longer does.
I'm building a 66 barracuda using a 2007 5.7 with a Ford T56 Magnum on 17" magnum 500s. Using SRT 300C manifolds, Mcleod 10.5" flywheel, Holley pan, Mopar performance intake and throttle body with their stand alone harness and a tanks inc. efi fuel tank/pump. I still need to source a radiator
and decide which bellhousing I want to go with. Seems like quicktime is the only outfit that has a gen 3 to ford t56 bell. Once I figure that out I'll need to figure out the throw out bearing. Any input is much appreciated. Thanks!

Gen3 Mounts have never been available for the first of Abodies.
I have just built a set of mounts for my 62 lancer 6.4 swap. After making a cardboard model, and actually bolting them in place. I was able to cut the pieces from 3/16 plate and weld them together. I used rubber mount insolators, (part #2265) in between the brackets and pad.
