Sorry for my absence on this for a bit. It's been hotter than hootchie coochie down here for a while. I see a break in the next week or so, so I'll be gettin back on it soon.

The good part for s "Southern " types is the weather will be great all winter and no snow!!! I feel for you guys up in the cold Rust belt for more ways than one!
So RRR we want to see some extensive progress, ....we want to hold the baby and NOT her labor pains!!!!! Get 'er done. Mucho rapido!!
Not sure if one model is worst than another, but I have done most with glass in, the sail pain area boogers me unless it has the cardboard part, A low heat gun helps get out wrinkles , let the headliner sit on a warm hood, have good glue. It should have a couple of wire hooks at the top of rear window so pull from that.Thanks. I am workin on it. I got the windshield channel repaired and I have both the gasket and lock strip. SO hopefully, the windshield will be in before long. I do have a question there though. About the headliner. I know it can be done with the glass in, but I really want to get the glass back in so I can drive it. Is the headliner install that big a PITA with the glass in?

Probably as far as I will go "for now" so I layed down some more primer to keep the rust away. I consider it a masterpiece compared to what I had before. lol

RRR if you have at least a small compressor that will run a cheap gravity gun, Southern Polyurethanes up N Ga has great products, service, and tech.
If you do treat some rust with Ospho and use their epoxy primer be sure to neutralize the Ospho or just don't use it. It can have a reaction and not necessarily immediate.
I think their products are top notch and they have great service and tech support. I have used lot of TCP Global products but they have changed a lot of stuff. I pretty much use economical PPG Shopline acrylic urethane topcoats as I don't care for bc/c. I know I am just old and old fashioned!
If you can pony up a few bucks, PPG has a camera that will take pictures of any color paint, and match it.
Shoot the red tractor paint on a piece of sheet-metal, and they can match it in single stage or BC/CC no charge.
II would check with the paint experts and ask IF single stage ACRYLIC URETHANE is not better than single stage acrylic enamel? Close to same price I bet. I know the urethane uses a different hardner (activator). I just shot one car with e AU and another with AE both Shoplibe PPG products. I liked the results of the AU much better. I must have been tongue tied when I stood there and ordered it or the kid mixing misunderstood. I sure thought I said AU.This ^^^^^ is exactly what I am going to do. Since Matt uses PPG products, I am going to prep a piece of metal, paint it with the Rustoleum spray safety red I have and send it to the paint store so they can match it with a high quality single stage enamel. Since I work for Matt now, I will get his discount on the paint. This way, I will have the right kind of paint that has all the UV protection in it and it will last. More progress forthcoming.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Just lurking and checking on the progress of red rocket here.
