All my window and door mechanisms are installed. I still need to apply the window tint to the door and vent window glass and to the tailgate glass.

Good job Don! It's a little tricky but nice to have it done.
I did the right rear window tonight. All bolts were stuck but after 2 hours the bolts moved freely.
Lots of great and it felt like brand new. BUT, the other quarter window is gone! If someone have one for sale it would help me alot. Jerry is searching already. Thanks Jerry.
Added the hood emblem and I stronhly recommend everybody to do it before mouting the hatch and the hood opening mecanism. I added the trunk decal too. All the stuff for the drivers side is in working condion so tomorrow night the light goes on again!

Thanks! I will check with him.
Tonight was the last items assembled. Just need to finf the quarter glass.
After a good clean and checking the hoses I filled the system and mounted it. The wiring was added too so now that is ready.
The sending unit was added to the gas tank. Next will be to restore the strap and J-hook before adding the tank on the car. A fuel line is ready to go underneath too.
I love progress!

I did find the section in the parts book about the glass including the quarter window glass. It leads me to think that Dart and Valiant Cv Cp is the same for both as only one part number is listed for clear glass and another for tinted and make no differentiation between Dart and Valiant

Thanks Don, now I know what to search for!

Today was lots of progress made. The band that holds the gss tank was restored. Instead of buying a new one I used a gas heater gun and heated up the undercoating. Then a scrape to get rid of it and then I used a Scotch sprite pad and got rid of the rest. It turned out like new and I got the factory lead zinc finish.
Next was to start mounting NOS .040 pistons on the connecting rods.
I really enjoy the piston pin locks and the instruction sheet in the box.

Today I had some time to start mounting the piston on the rod
First time having NOS pistons. The.040 pistons with new ring was like a glove. Never heard that sound when sliding in the piston. Unbelievable feeling!

Ulf. Very Nice. Mine was 40 over as well. Don introduced to Jim regarding the cam shaft which Jim set up a bit more than the stock Hipo. Very Lively when I put my foot in it. Just plain fun. Looking good. sgrip65

The short block is ready and correct tightened. Fully restored heads is in place so the lifters, push rods and valve train and the intake will be added soon.

Does he still grind them? That might be the ticket for me!!

Hello Ulf. Check with Don as it is for certain...this guy (Jim) knows what he is doing. sgrip65

As far as I know he does. I’ve heard that he’s slow on the roller cams; don’t know if he’s slow on the flat tappet cams. PM me with all your engine specs, transmission, rear end including gear ratio and any specs you can provide on the car and I will give him a call for you. He only works in the afternoon about 3 to 7 or 8

I will this weekend! I've been involved with the WRC Rally Sweden. What a great race! Those special WRC cars were great but I loved the historic race cars.

Started tonight to take apart the valve train. They were extremly greasy to start with.
Why do they get in this condition?

So finally the engine is ready......except the waterpump hasn't showed up yet. Dang! However I was able to hook uo some more stuff and mount the re-cored radiator. Trouble free miles!

Will you be using a fan shroud?
Not on this one but on the Dart Charger I'm working on.
Found a nos fuel pump that a guy didn't want on the engine I rebuilt for him. He wanted a fuel pump that can be split in two. So here we add it.
Even found a 8000 mile waterpump with correct housing. It will be added too.

I guess I will have to use a fuel pump block off plate since I will be using an in-tank electric for the Sniper. I would love to have a dummy fuel pump for the more or less stock motor/engine compartment appearance m.

I can disassemble the factory unit for you, aka "clean the inside"! Or simply just remove the arm!

Finally I was able to get some paint the engine. Only part left to get som red paint is the distributor.
Next time begins the fun adding rrstored and painted parts!
I was able to buy a Chrysler Corporation stock. Today it arrived and what a surprice. It was from 1965! Karma or what!

I see you have the PCV on the driver’s side. Is that correct? All the pictures I’ve seen has the oil filler cap on the driver’s side.
