The old steering wheel wasn't in the best condition. Some filler and sanding really smoth it out. Paint in two layers and a shot of clear coat and time for assembly. Turned out ok.

I have collected stuff since 1980 so it's almost history! Your sign loooks awesome! Actually Valley Dodge sold my wagon new to a couple from Lancaster. I'm gonna do a copy of the dealer plate ",Another one from Valley Dodge"! I found it behind the front license plate.
Today I stopped Mike the painter and chose the white paint for the car from Glasurit. Do they have that paint supplier in the US?

This weekend a lot of things happened. I got hold of the right body sealer to cover the welds, corners etc as the factory did it.
Next were the A-pillar stainless steel mouldings. After three hours one is ready. But it sure takes time.
The wiring harness to the power top hydraulic pump is redone and looks great. However I need one contact to connect to this female contact. Anyone out there?
The distributor, steering coupler, emergency brake mecanism is stuck, the wiring to the gear selector is broken and needs attention as well as the ground cable between the engine and the body. Puh, this will take some time!
Another issue is the speakers. Factory speakers are 2 5 inch and my newly bought is almost 4,5 inch. Need a flat unit for my confy AM radio. Otherwise I can't move the heater/defroster mecanism.

Were you asking about the exterior stainless trim? I have several mostly complete sets.

A good two hours of body sealer workmade it. Turned out great so next step is to primer the whole body.

Tonight was assembly night!
The doors, fendenders and hood was mounted before the paint job. Took 5 hours to get it correct. I took off the hood to paint that one separately. My friend Mike looks happy with his new paint gun.
Seems like it will be ready to pick up on Monday next week.

Car is looking fantastic. You found a good paint man that works quickly and does a great job.
Started with the heater box today. It looks.......not so good. The gaskets ate flapping loose and the heater core is leaking. Time consuming but well worth it!

I've been working on the heater box. There are 11 clamps holding the two piecesctogether. Is it a special tool for them or just a screwdriver?

I do use a screw driver to remove the clips from the box. The problem I usually have is getting the clips back on without wrecking the box. There is a very thin edge that holds the clips in place and putting them back on very carefully and taking your time is the key.

I'm doing a ground up pn the heater. I had an extra spare heater core and new gaskets.
