Everything I replaced during the rebuild!
Oh and I scored a used windage tray for the 5.9
So had a snafu with the electrical parts i ordered. For some reason the trans shop I got them from thought it would be funny to ship me out used parts hahaha
SO after fighting them about that, getting my money back and so on I decided to take the plunge and just buy all the cool **** for the valve body. Got the hot **** GM conversion with billet valve body built shift kit and all sort of jazzy **** no one will ever see...
The Transmission 46RE is done... Next the 5.9 get some love...
Oh and i bought another manual steering box, So now i have one I won't be using if anyone needs it hit me up I'll give you a really good deal on it.

After snooping and pooping on a few ram forums I found a supplier that offered upgraded billet valves, springs, conversion kit and solenoids. I also replaced all the servo's with Sonex billet servo's in all the ports, Shift Technology shift kit. Only thing I haven't replaced at this point is the converter. And I'm actively looking for a replacement now. What is the cool stuff you bought for the valve body?
Yes that's the one. The conversion allows for upgraded line pressure, pump gears, and any valve body mods with out flooding the stock 46re solenoid, It is a nice peace. The machine work and all was very nice and fit perfectly. Also got brand new solenoids.I had the same question.
It appears to be a conversion for replacing the OEM governor pressure solenoid using a GM solenoid? Pictures aren't the same, but dovetails with what I see and read.

YES happy Birthday to you too Marine!Happy MCBD from a 65 stroker owner Marine vet in Tustin! I had the same idea for lopping a kegger top for an EFI TR setup. Adapt, improvise,overcome... Marines! subscribed....
I was looking at a Clegg 408 kit with a Dish piston and scat crank. low 9's cc. As for the trans its a bit late to change now I'm knees deep in it now. Tran's is built cars is modded and efi harness and brain is finished. So I got that going for me hahaha...I eventually want to use a Whipple style blower on my stroked 5.9 in my '68. Part of the current build's problem is that I have 10.2 to 1 compression and the engine cranks at 200 psi. With the aluminum Eddie heads heads I the tune I have on it, I can run on pump premium out here in California. Another issue is it currently has a cast crank and Hypereutectic pistons.
I'll have to rebuild the bottom end with forged stuff, lower the compression and switch to a Holley ECU for easier tuning. I'm currently running the factory JTEC computer that's been reflashed.
It's hard to mount an air to air inter-cooler in my 68, so it must be even harder in a '65. I think an inter-cooler is pretty much mandatory on a street car build.
Before you jump nto a 46rh take a look at an Extreme Automatics 200R4 with a lock-up converter. I have a stage 2 version in my car with a 3800 stall Precision of New Hampton 3 carbon disc lock-up converter. It's smaller, more efficient and holds up to 750hp. It's by far the best automatic trans I've ever used. I also bolted in on with a Reid SFI rated bellhousing instead of that ugly bulky plate adapter. It looks much cleaner.
Yeah, my brain has been finished for years...and brain is finished. So I got that going for me hahaha...
hahaha Thanks! My wife would wholeheartedly agree with you!I first started I said to myself "this dude is out there" and now that I'm up to date on everything I can only say "You ain't right a little bit"
Looking good MMP I want to see your car when done.hahaha Thanks! My wife would wholeheartedly agree with you!
I do have some small changes coming to the car soon, also we may be shifting gear and heading in a different direction with the cosmetic of the car.
Let me know how those wheels fit for you. When I put the QA1 UCA’s on my Duster with my Bullitt wheels, I had to grind on the arms quite a bit to keep the wheels from rubbing while turning. Was able to get a few things accomplished today! Got as far as I could today before it got too cold and then I realized I missing a much needed bolt, that I'll be picking up first thing tomorrow. Should have this finished up tomorrow wheels on the ground!
It appears as though QA1 has changed their design though. My arms had that big ring/flange in place all the way around the arm.

Are those wheels strait bolt on or do you have to run spacers/adapters? Also 99-04 or 05 up rims? Thank you in advance.Let me know how those wheels fit for you. They’re 99-04 wheels. You either need to run 10mm spacers or machine out the center register of the wheel since it tapers down out towards the center capAre those wheels strait bolt on or do you have to run spacers/adapters? Also 99-04 or 05 up rims? Thank you in advance.
