1972 Duster Build with my Daughter

-
I keep telling ya. Those Keystones tip the odds in her favor! Nice cars for sure. Thanks for sharing.

Yes one guy was so thankful for her making so stock looking but adding the typical 1980's hop up items (i.e. the Keystones) that KK actually got emotional and choked up! I hate those uni-lugs but yes people LOVE them.

Anyone think the Duster would look better with rocker moulding chrome and wheel well chrome? I am on the fence. The blue is so light I am not sure it would really accent anything....

I don't like chrome. It's something for debris to get hung under and cause rust.

Congratulations KK and JK on bringing home the silverware, well done and thoroughly deserved I’m sure!

Not in Arizona when you _rarely_ have to drive them in the rain and even then when it stops raining the humidity drops and things dry out in very quickly.

I think that you did a fantastic job on this one. It just gets better looking every time that I see it. But then I may be a bit biased when it comes to the 72s. Hope that your daughter gets a lot of pleasure driving it. My tail lights were black when I bought my car. I painted them argent and I like them a lot better.

By the looks of your yard, I bet you do not own a lawnmower.

Nice.
I would love to make my yard maintenance free like that one.
Mowed the grass tonight and the bugs thought I was a sandwich.

The Duster looks great as is but wheel well trim would make it look even better!

If the car had the rocker mouldings, the clips will be expensive. If you had to add the pins and clips, I wouldn't. I still haven't put mine back on in 14 years. I have the mouldings, but need the clips an one pin replaced. I thought I might when I finally repaint the car, though. I might put the wheel well trim back on to see how I like it alone.

I wouldn't put Mopar rockers on it anyway. We bought 65 Mustang rockers with the clips for $90 (no Mopar tax) and have been flip flopping. The '65 are fluted with black inlays which help pull the black top down into the rockers.

They are good looking. And a cheaper way to do that. The finned ones for a 67 barracuda are expensive if you can find them.
