1974 L Code 360 Duster 4 speed with Moon Roof

How many with a sunroof were made? I couldn’t find it?

I don't believe they kept a record of things like that. But I have no idea where Galen got his info so not even sure how he got the E58/D21 build number.

I will say there is one guy in the other thread that also had a sunroof, maybe 2? But I don't think I have ever seen one in person so I don't expect they build many sunroof cars period.

The guy we got this one from claims Galen inspected this car. Who knows if that is true or if it matters?

Looks very complete. At least it's with someone who appreciates it now. Better than it sitting in a shed with crap piled all on top of it. Good for you, Jim!

Literally had raccoon “crap” all over it. It is very complete and the interior is very nice. The trunk and floors are extremely clean which is shocking.

Mopar sunroofs are designed to leak, and they have gutters and downspouts to direct the water that gets in.

Kind of looks like someone removed the side stripe and took some of the paint off with it.

There should be record of how many, as a percentage of all 74 Dusters, were painted moonstone.
Can't be very many.
Could very well be one of one when you consider 580 with 360 and 4 speed.
...plus AC
...plus sunroof
...plus moonstone

It looks like someone may have been prepping it for a paint job. They removed the stripe mechanically and took paint off with it. It was last registered in 94. My brother Jake bought this car and we will be weighing restoration costs to value this week. My vote is to restore the car due to its uniqueness and rarity and the fact that it is a very cool car and I actually love the color. I hit the deck lid with a buffing wheel last night real quick and couldn’t believe the amount of metal in the paint.

I's nice enough to be a survivor.

Fender tag?

This is a tricky question. If you restore it do it for the shear love of the car. Values…. Hmmm….. it will definitely be worth more in another 10-15 years vs today. The later 360 cars are super cool, but never really seem to command the dough of say an earlier 70-71 340 car

If it’s a numbers car with good documentation I say go for it.

It is a numbers matching one owner car. It is far more rare than most any 340 cars out there. We will figure out what is the best route.

Did You check all the numbers on the engine and body Jim?
Check it for what? I checked to make sure the vin was correct to the fender tag and that the motor and trans were numbers matching to the vin. The car has original paint and sheet metal on it.
