You are correct. Was going to do this build with a 440 but the wife thought it might be to much for the daughter.
Steve

Looks like a good car. Is that orig paint? Are wheels big bolt with disc's? Would you drive it to Niagara falls at 75 mph?

What rear end is in the car? Can you post some pics of the bad portion in the carpet and vinyl? More of the interior. Did your daughter get another car? Thanks Small Block

I see you're down around Petit Jean. Ever go to their swap meets?

It is the original paint. Big bolt front wheel disc. I would not have aproblem driving it anywhere at 75 mph.
Steve

It's the small rearend. Not sure if I have a picture of the bad carpet. Hopefully I can post more pic's. I used to go to petit jean every year but have had other comitments the last couple of years. Yeah the young one got a new ride.

I see the air ducts in the interior but don't see the compressor under the hood. Do you have the stuff to get it going again? That top can be fixed for a measly $125. Clean interior.

I have the compressor but not the condensor or the hoses. The guy that tore it apart lost them. Car is very clean just looks like grandma's car you know the sleeper look! I had a lot of fun building it.
Steve

This is a lot of car for the price. Is there damage behind the right rear wheel? No grille pics, is it in good shape? Floors and frame, How rusty? Thanks

You are correct. I'm sure I'm asking less than it's worth but sometimes that's the way it is. You can see there is a crease behind the right wheel. Grille is good. There is 2 small spots in the trunk from rust. Here are some pictures of the frame and rocker panels. There is not a day that we have driven it that you won't get compliments.

Guy's a couple of things I can think of. The radio is there but not hooked up drivers door needs the lock fixed (key goes but won't unlock it) Sometimes at night the instrument lights go out then come back on I'm sure it's a loose connection. The car is not perfect.

Is the car still available? Please let us know. We are interested. How does it run as far as power. It should be pretty snappy. Thanks

It is still here. Car is a blast to drive plenty of power!!
Thanks,
Steve

Well times are tough so anyone who has $3,000.00 cash can take it home today.
Steve

Is this car really orig paint? Any more pics of rust areas in trunk? How much rust is under vinyl especially at bottom of back window? Thanks for your time.

This is the original paint. There is no rust around the back window or under the vinyl top. I am posting more pictues if you look at the one of the trunk
from underneath the spare wheelwell has one hole next to the drainplug. I don't know how to get it across to everyone this car is super clean. And yes I am taking a huge loss on this car. I will not let it set in my driveway any longer. I will say it one more time you will not be dissapointed. You can't pay for all of the parts for this price much less build it for what Im asking.

Hi Steve. My A-body daily driver of 16 years is starting to get pretty soft and its time for a new one. I've been looking for a 67-71 but we had a 74 scamp that my wife drove the poop out of for a few years,it was a good car and we liked it. I think I am serious about this car and have lot's of questions. How far from you is airport and could you pick-up? Is dash pad cracked? New steering is this pump and box, brand new or rebuilt? I noticed a dent in middle of front bumper,is the rest of the bumper straight accross front end? Do heat and defrost work? I see aftermarket gauges,do originals work? Gas gauge? Is tach still in car and hooked up? Any overheating problems? Just to clarify are front and rear wheel 4.5 big bolt pattern? Are bfg tires brand new with the 1500 miles on them? Do all windows go up and down properly? Are door strikers in door frame good, doors open and close well? Does it sound tuff and a little lumpy? My plan would be to drive it daily for this season and do a colour change over the winter. It sounds like you have adressed most of mechanical issues. Finances and wifes permission are no problem on my end.I am going to do my homework on currency exchange, travel costs, duties, tax's and best way to tag car for ride home. Who broke her in(1500 miles)you or your daughter? Thanks for your time. Greg

I'm 80 miles from the nearest airport not apposed to picking you up. No crackes in the dash pad. Maybe I should rephase my post. Pump and gearbox are orignial equiment hoses are new. The rest of the bumper is straight. Heat and defrost work. There is only one aftermarket gauge and that's the oil pressure gauge. All the factory gauges work I'm just picky about having a oil pressure gauge instead of a idiot light. Tach is no longer in the car. No overheating problems at all. 4.5 bolt pattern front and rear. Tires are new with 1500 miles on them. Windows go up and down with now problem. Door sills, strikers are in excellent condition. Doors open and close very easy. Car sounds a little lumpy. I drove it the first 500 miles myself to sort everything out before handing the keys over. Weather was nice here today so we drove it most of the day. It still amazes me the stares and finger pointing and thumbs up that you get driving this car. Just let me know what you want to do.
Steve
