I'll laugh with you if i do.... :D
The funny thing is is I finally found a hood for $50 to cut a hole in and it turned out to be better than my original and so I got the hool in my original hood.
I just blue taped it out and cut a small exploratory hole. You'll be fine...

Are you filming a how to cut a hole in your hood video? It could be costly to try it again for video sake...

What kind of scoop? Are you going to center it with the car or with the engine?
Dual snorkel - like the '72 Demon came with...…. Yes, it will be centered with the car, not the engine. The HOLE will be centered with the engine.

I don't know about a video...… LOL. But I got the Mustang bearing in, so on to the scoop!!!!!!! :D

Ok drill the heads and use the stock intake on the magnums with the stock valve covers. It will look stock then.
Iv been doing some research on magnum heads and la intakes. From my research drilling the heads is most definitely the most economical option. I read that Hughes will do it and read that others have had it done for as little as 80 bucks. Is this something you can do yourself?

I'm taking a quick breather. It's hot, I'm sweat'n, but things are getting done! I get 3 things from this. First, I like the look! Second, when I shut the car off, the heat will have another escape route. Third, when it's running, I'll have fresh air coming in. :) Hey, I just hit a triple :D

What I'm doing at the moment.

Well crap. Here I thought I had made more progress then Jabs, and he goes and posts pics. Looks like he has 4 tires with air, I only have 3... He spins the car 180, I have to go 90... And he has an empty engine bay. I still have to pull a good running 318. LOL

Ok, the scoop is on, I like the look, but it was a pain. PERIOD! These ebay specials fitment is terrible. Had to file the centers to get it close to laying flat. Bolt holes go in at a angle meaning you have to oval the drill holes. But, I won. I won...….

Looks good buddy! That should bring in a tone of cold air! You should have when with a hemi scoop. I like the looks of yours better but the hemi scoop would have to bring in more air.

LOL also I say you lose a 1/2 of a 1/10 from wind deflection LOL...:poke:
Hoping to gain .0000012 - forced air at 100 mph!!!! LOL... Perhaps one of those K&N top breathers so the scoop pushes in the top where it's pulling.
